Kind of stupid though funny plot. A very good introduction into real Japanese culture

yah、it was one of the better animes in the past.

Not just better… it’s inside top 5 anime of all time in a recent Japanese poll.

The entire production is very meticulously done, BGMs are incredible.

For Fans, there have released a pachinko game which shows many extra new scenes and including their daughter growing up and final passing… fans will be happy to know Godai kept his promise… very sad happy ending

Warning: very emotional for those who know the series well

If you like this, I think it's very likely you had watched and like this anime too: Ronin Warriors - The Yoroiden Samurai Troopers. Other than Ryo the Fire Warrior, the other character that caught my attention was Kayura, the mage / warrior lady who was in the faction the earlier arc before having her control dispelled and switched to the Ryo's side.
