Malaysia and Indonesia DTV reception

Is there any antenna that can be used in bedok to get RTM channels? Need it more for parents. My home is facing the East Coast Park.

Just a recap:
Reception is very location dependant. It's not about having some super set top box that will miraculously allow you to get reception.
If you are in the SOUTH, Indo channels might be possible, and if you live in the NORTH, you may get Malaysian channels.
That's it.
Or pay for a subscription to get these channels if they are very important.

Hi all, I understand that receiving Malaysia channels, the reception is very location dependant. I am staying in Bukit Panjang. Just a few weeks ago, I used the autoscan and was able to detect all the Free-to-air digital channels. However, I think after 1 Jan, the MY channels were lagging badly and the stupid me went to re-autoscan. Now it seems like I am not able to scan the MY channels again. Not sure if any bro here can advise how I can get the MY channels again?

Hi bro, yes I did. It is just like shutting off the signal altogether.

I am just puzzled that one week was watching with no issue but another week after 1st Jan, totally cannot received. Sigh.

Same thing happened to me. Im staying in Woodlands & have no issues with Malaysian channels. Only last week signal is suddenly off, tried to re-scan but now it's all gone

I hv an AOC tv, no Malaysia or indo tv channel, not even fuzzy reception.

not sure if it is the same for you...
past 2 days signal unstable for me, maybe you try tomorrow or some days later.

Few days ago, one guy knock the door and ask us whether we have DTV reception, he then help us to install the DTV kit for free on my old TV. the DTV brand is NewMedia with M1 stick on it.
After set up, it can receive Singapore DTV Channels only. Today I do a manual scan on Channel 47 and found all the Malaysia Channels, like above list except for last two Channels, the TV antenna is just stick on top of my TV. I am on 29 HDB floor, REDHILL

MBSD & MBHD test channels is at CH49, 698000khz, is different from CH47, 682000khz.

Important is to place an antenna at correct location and position for preventing any Digital Cliff Effect occur......Do check on the Signal Quality (is also very important) when doing an antenna installation.........
