None, in fact I think WP-wards may be cleaner than a lot of the other wards.

Hougang always like quite well-maintained one, Dennis Tan doing a good job.

Think it has more to do with the number and quality of the people, besides the cleaner effort. Many places have alot of low class (in character) people who like to anyhow throw litters when they could have just walk few steps to a rubbish bin.

Thus, can only depend on the cleaners to be more diligent. But there is a limit as to how much the cleaners can do. Especially so during weekend when such low class people in the housing estate is overwhelming. Unless double the cleaners effort during weekend then another story.

Not sure about Hougang, but generally if walk around in bedok reservoir area (housing estate), which think is under WP also, can have the general impression the whole neighbourhood is clean. And there seem a quiet and peaceful vibe to it.

Yep, there is a reason why WP still won Aljunied GRC with around 60% despite the gerrymandering. Residents there generally happy with WP.

SK GRC is also maintained well too Anchorvale in particular quite clean + in an orderly manner too.

Every thing is residents fault cos they never report.
No one from TC is so free to walk the ground.
Same for the part time advisors who dun even attend all the house meetings themselves.

I also used to stay hg ave 2. Now I moved to Jalan besar area.. and this area is really filthy and poorly maintained. Don’t say the places near central area, of course these part are nicer and more clean to cater to businesses and tourists.
But if you move towards geylang, kallang, Jalan besar. It’s really shocking and slum like.

Everytime I go back visit my mum, I am really shocked by the difference. you can go see yourself.

The kway chap is popular, only one there (behind at the wet market side got the vegetarian version can also if want a change of taste). Turn that corner the fish soup behind also, always long queue, and many tend buy the stewed duck to go with it (sell out fast). That tian-ma is the go to place for cheaper snacks and drinks.
