Noticed something about ManU players under SAF? They always play with a scowl on their face. Like they are damn tulan or something.

Just watch that Berbatov video, even they score also no smile one.

Maybe that's the secret to their success. :):)

I agree that he had a tough time in Arsenal, but I disagree that it was because of Henry.

I remember Jeffers well because of all the hype surrounding him when he joined. He was given plenty of chances to shine, but he really really flopped. If there's any blame, have to blame Wenger for signing a one-season wonder.

Just wasn't good enough.

There are players who are actually good, but the wrong fit. Case in point: Forlan.

But from what I remember, Jeffers continued to be underwhelming for the rest of his career. Macheda, unfortunately, is following in his footsteps...

I love his mad skills & sibei calm style.

With Tevez running around non-stop & Ronaldo causing all sorts of mayhem, Berbatov was unfortunately hard done by. :o

I think is because of his composed playing style which is why many fans wont remember him much. The style macham like suited to LvG :s13:

After RvN, I also struggle to name a 'complete' striker after him.

Rooney: often dropped too deep, and surprisingly deep until he is seen as an accomplished midfielder

Tevez: Playing style almost same as Rooney, like to drop deep, albeit faster, which is why people said he can't link well with Rooney

Chicharito: hardworking, great in the air but lacks height and physicality to deal with modern-day BPL tough tackling players

RvP: Probably closest to a complete striker, but he started out as a winger before Wenger converted him to a forward, injury prone as well.

Probably Rashford is in the making of an out and out striker.

Only a matter of time, surely?

But confirmation would be lovely...followed by signing after signing! I hope!!! :s13: :s13:

i personally have not much high hopes in mourinho signing. I think their problems are deeper than just managers. It was evident when Moyes took over, if i am a man u fan i will put all the blame on Ed Woodwards. It was a mistake to lose both ferguson and david gill in 1 season.

the only striker out there that's closest to RvN was Lewandowski, but he refuses to go to man u.

irrc Gary Neville or someone mentioned recently SAF usually tell their players this "everybody hates us (man u), no one likes us, its us against the world , etc"

something like that, so they have the "revenge" type of mentality when they play against every team.

Football: Manchester United appoint Jose Mourinho as manager - Sky Sports News
PUBLISHED1 MIN AGO
LONDON (REUTERS) - Manchester United have appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager, Sky Sports News reported on Thursday.

The 53-year-old Portuguese replaces Dutchman Louis van Gaal whose two-year reign at Old Trafford ended on Monday, two days after United lifted the FA Cup.

The self-styled "Special One", Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December, ending his second spell in charge of the London club.

He has also managed Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

The current defence so cui, how to park? :s13:

Smalling ownself tank almost the whole season, collapse at the last part, score quit a number of own goals also.

Blind not even a centre back to start with, playing him there is like a waiting for a time bomb to explode. No pace and height to deal with most strikers, he is lucky most of the time his positioning saved him.

Rojo is neither here nor there. Cannot play centre back, cannot play left back. Suck at set piece defending also, seen quite a number of goals conceded are directly his fault.

Jones forever Hospital FC, probably friends with Sturridge.

But thats Mourinhos style of play. His teams are built around defence first and then counter attack. Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Madrid.

Smalling, Blind, Rojo, and Shaw are International class defenders, what they need is protection from the midfield. With the right coaching they can be really good. First thing he will buy is two CM to anchor the midfield.
