Policy holders, hoped that you have all written in your response not accept this 20% reduction on the Terminal Bonus....

We need to stand up against this errant insurer!

Is very common now a day. Insurance company today is the most uninsured company. They change whatever you signed previously base on/at the time they try to sell you the product.
Once you sign, control is on their side and not you.
Had the same experience with AIA, GE and AXA so far. Believe this is quite common across this industry.
The longer the contract you signed with them. The more the uncertainty you will get.

term life and hosp plans are all u need

for hosp plans, decide on whether u need pte or public

rmb, pte has no govt subsidies and works on reimbursement plan, ie. u pay the hosp bill 1st then see if ur insurer willing to reimburse u back 100%

Happen to know term life is the worse product to go for.

Not entirely true.

Depending on bill size and how long your policy has been inforce, you may not need to pay first.

What policies you had and what happened?

For example, Hospital plan in force 3 years already no medical conditions. Bill size is 30k. Parkway group able to accept cashless payment.

My recent admission to Mt E Orchard was cashless as well.

Warded 1 day. Bill was 5.9k. Discharged without paying anything except for specialist consultation before admission, which was $214. This was claimed back subsequently.

My AIA shield incepted since Sept 2014.

Can elaborate?

Cashless means what? Pay by cc? Or insurer pay for u?

How come can claim if you are not paying anything in ur 2nd eg?

Cashless means you do not pay anything at point of discharge. Hospital will settle with insurer and subsequently, send you the final invoice (which should be settled already).

My own example i paid for $214 specialist consultation before my admission. This is not part of the hospital bill so I claimed back as Pre-hospitalization instead.

So cfm for pte hosp admission, patients do not need to cough up cash if they have pte ips?

No it is not limited to that but I have yet to hear about similar news from the other private hospitals, so I am unable to offer comments.

Parkway Group has many of the reputable hospitals so I think it should be able to cater to any of your concerns?

pte shield plan only limited to Parkway group?

no other pte hosp?

Well if they do not state that, I think more than often, people will just abuse it?

Pre-existing also go and see and expect the same kind of treatment.

Got exclusions also go and see and expect the same treatment.

Every company, including yours, have terms and conditions.

Anyway I have said my piece. You are not entirely wrong, but you are not entirely right either.

These shld be made clear to pple before they buy the isp

And also limiting it to one hosp grp?

Jeez and many agents are still "encouraging" consumers to buy pte shield plans and riders, maxing out the comms gao gao
