But you know hor, without these old folks (grandpa and grandmas), Singapore won’t be what she is today hor. Posb or Dbs won’t even be in existent if all these old folks kept all their money in tin cans. Unlike foreign banks, I feel that local corps, esp those supported indirectly by our CPFs, should not forsake these old folks. Yes, it costs money to service them, but don’t forget that these old gens sinkies are stakeholders too. Not everything is about $$.Face the reality. Unless your parents have few hundred $K, don't expect to be treated like king. These older folks are the one that cost most to service as far as the banks are concerned.
Be it tens of dollars or millions, some old folks die die also like to go counter update passbook hor. It is sort of their hobby hahahaha. Realistically, we cannot expect everyone to be proficient with internet banking stuff.
I don’t like paper transaction too but I feel that the rate at which the outlets are winding up is shocking. Not as if they are bleeding money. Do they have such considerations when opening physical branches overseas? I don’t think so.
