Truly absurd.

Already feedback to Maribank.

You guys should write in too.
i dont understand why is it absurd. isnt showing the daily return better than monthly return since we can redeem on any day? does moomoo or webull show monthly return on their mmf?

And sometimes I notice the daily interest will double. Not because of weekends

Be me, track daily

Kidding. Created just for fun.

I can see why you may want this feature since it really helps to visualize the data.

But as you can see it jumps, so if you were trying to compare monthly % against for example FD or ESaver/EGA, then i really don't recommend it.

The Mari saver has cumulative interests for the month in statement.

Can do the same thing for Mari invest.

Yeah alternatively, you need to track yourself.

No way to export as csv also. So you have to track manually.

Its absurd for a digital bank.

Right! Export as CSV. Forgotten about this

Ya, if they at least have this, tracking / data input could be much easier.

Its absurd for a digital bank.
I won't say absurd, but they and some other banks or digital service provider probably find such functionality a little too niche which i am not surprised.

In the end, even big companies also like to cut corners and provide bare minimum functionalities while maintaining a facade through "suggestion" forum as if they care.

mthly yield is really wrong for mari invest. 0.281% x 12 mths = 3.372% p.a. the drop in yield is due to no immediate return on weekends (i.e. 29 jun on sat & 30 jun on sun).

do the other digital banks such as gxs and trust bank provide similar investment products? do those products have total returns for a particular month?

I know that i am not required to answer these but it's either you are tired or trying to mis-read my sentences

Actually the returns are comparable. That's how you decide which financial instruments perform better.

2 ways to calculate monthly returns.

1) Closing month price over opening month price. Annualize it. This is a similar return you see on Mari invest page.

2) Add up all the interests. This method is a bit tricky because balances may not be constant.

Anyway this Mari invest is a mmf. So you should expect less returns due to management fees and easy liquidity including capital and interests.

for those who treat the Mari Save Plus as an ATM; frequent withdrawal and deposits in a month, I agree that Option 1 will be the best indication/ estimate of their average % return.

The Mari Save Plus is a fund and returns are based on daily NAV and is different from bank interest but some prefer to treat it like bank interest credits which I find amusing (bank give an annual interest % and you get the daily interest by multiplying this rate with end of day balance).

mari savings dropped interest have to do extra work to cover up
ic. i concern that your style may trigger the bank or they may implement something to close this lobang.

transfer in during weekend will hurt your yield because the order wont be processed until next business day and weekend doesnt generate immediate return.
