nice, did u get 6% pa payout?

yes i tried it in late march. bought a bit and got the dividends payout on 1 apr.

quite surprised that it did not pro-rate.

is got 6%+ but the current market value of my original capital amount dropped also. so u must take the drop in current market value of ur original capital sum + the 6% interest = overall will be around 4.2% interest per the app illustration

but also disclaimer that is historical data and does not represent future.

need to be able to hold long term to see good gain

https://financialhorse.com/mari-inv...y-than-t-bills-pimco-gis-income-fund-wrapper/

this is a good read for mari invest income

key takeaway is

The primary investment objective of the Fund is to seek high current income, consistent with prudent investment management. Long-term capital appreciation is a secondary objective.

The Income Fund is a portfolio that is actively managed and utilizes a broad range of fixed income securities that seek to produce an attractive level of income with a secondary goal of capital appreciation.

so likely the original capital sum value will drop. and it aim for high dividend payout to compensate for it

give n take to even up

i saw the illustration on mari app for income, it is exactly what you mentioned for long term..
example u invested $10,000 immediately become $98XX.XX
Then just collect monthly payout to offset the lost in capital.

Refer news, they (Mari) may need to shift the basket liao
I didn’t know Freddie Mac = FNMA. I thought they are two different entities.

yes...just hope that the lost in capital is not more than the monthly dividend payout. this investment is meant for long-term. i think one might want to expect some losses in some months and some months earn higher than usual. overall balance out should have 4.2% rate based on their historical data

got 1 good thing is that u can test key in the sum u want to buy and it will prompt the estimated monthly payout amount.

so far i say the estimated payout amount is accurate...so far

Yes u r right. Just tried and can see it.
Just curious, I tried to put 10k in the prompt and the projected payout for Apr is around $53.
But reading from the above discussion, the principal amount will also get reduce....so what is the reduction that we suppose to expect in a month or 6 mths or 1 yr?

Thanks.

the projected payout is about 6.2% of ur input. u can calculate $53 is around 6.2% monthly rate for $10k.

the principal amount reduction no one can say for sure.

as explained in their investment objective:

objective of the Fund is to seek high current income, consistent with prudent investment management. Long-term capital appreciation is a secondary objective.

The Income Fund is a portfolio that is actively managed and utilizes a broad range of fixed income securities that seek to produce an attractive level of income with a secondary goal of capital appreciation.

maintaining or appreciating capital is secondary objective. their number 1 objective is to produce high monthly payout so that can compensate the capital loss.

Wow if buy in income, immediately lost 2 months of bonuses. The first 2 months of bonuses is to to top up your capital.
