Can have the Maribank account for the 2.7% p.a. interest (till Dec) and Trust credit card for the 1% cashback with 0% forex fees to have the best of both worlds. :)

trust allow FREE oversea ATM withdraw up to 20k per withdraw (MUST REMEMBER TO SET ON APP TO PAIR WITH SAVING ACC WHEN DOING SO!). good fx rate and no fx fee. earn NTUC linkpoints. NTUC quarterly linkpoints can easily earn you $100+ worth of linkpoints to redeem if you are just a regular ntuc customer who spends for daily groceries. some conditions there to meet (can easily meet usually).

can earn cashback for that new trust cashback card (i not apply).

GXS boost pocket (works like fd, money locked inside earns up to 3.28%)

above SDIC.

chocolate finance now 4.2 for up to <20k till end of the year, next years 3.6. no SDIC

The salary deposit bonus for Trust will require Giro (not FAST) transfer.

I set up the transfer automatically every month from another banks account.

Spending $30 x5 on the card should be easy, unless you have a lot of different cards to use..

So far I'm hitting the 3.5% every month, much better than most FD in the major banks.

Trust gives good rebates for groceries, when a certain spending amount is achieved

Today, on Jun 1, Trust has reduced to max 2.25% (even after having NTUC union, credit salary, etc). This is LOWER than Mari which need not do anything.

So, back to Mari Bank is better, tho cap at $100k.
