It is partly comedic so you guys will "love it" and stay awake for the movie. Just look at captain america 2 and thor: the dark world as an example, some scene are bored as heck

Imo quite naise leh din feel bored at all. Well i do like paul rudd and judd apatow comedies in general

[k0sm0s]

In contrast, how many superhero movies have been comedic? Can only think of Kickass, GotG. It's better to have a good mix. I believe Antman and GotG would flop if it had been serious and dark.

Ant Man was in development for 9 years way before the MCU even started with Iron Man. Originally Edgar Wright, the British director known for his comedies such as Shuan of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, was attached to direct and he was the one who wrote the script.

That is why it is so comedic. It was being developed way before the MCU was even launched and before Avengers was even a thing. In fact, after the marvel producers tried to make the movie more in line with the MCU ambitions, the director left the project one month before filming, citing creative differences

E.g. At the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con International, Wright said that Ant-Man would not fit in the chronology of The Avengers as "it didn’t work with the kind of the angle that we were going to do with the origin that I’d written"

[VoteWisely]

It's suppose to be comedy. Guess marvel succeeded then

[kopi22]

It's suppose to be like that. Most marvel movies are like that. Some jokers in the movies. That's why I don't like batman vs superman. Too serious.

Marvel movie that ultimately ties in with the infinity wars, shouldn't be comedy.

But I'm glad that end credit scene, cap America decided to recruit ant man as avenger
