Citi SMRT is 2.7% for online right

I believe it doesn't cover all kinds of online spend. Only online shopping like Lazada is covered.
For example M1 bill or Sembcorp bill etc you won't get that high cashback. Spree card gives 2% for everything online including SP services and even govt websites.

Usually it means Citibank charges merchants less for these categories of spending, as these merchants may have thin margins or might not be able to afford it (charities). Therefore, since it does not earn the full commission (usually 2.2%) as an issuing bank, it no longer makes sense to offer its credit card users rebates in the form of points.

Alternatively, the banks wants to encourage discretionary spending. Stuff like utility bills are a necessity, whether or not they give you rebates, you’ll have to pay them anyway. They want to encourage you to spend more on stuff that isn’t a necessity, generating additional sales and commissions for them.

I kena a 'missing entry' penalty of $2 at a MRT and subsequently another $0.83 for a transfer to a bus.

Really bad that such bugs appear now and then and we have to check carefully every single trip via the app or else we won't know.

Makes me wonder why they can't test it thoroughly before releasing to public use. Bad experience again.

For those experienced with claiming, do I claim the $2 only or both the $2 and $0.83?

Thanks.

Submit both, reference your first claim when making the 2nd. They will refund the difference on one of the claims

Has anyone received the max $10 cashback from OCBC's Mastercard simplygo promo (April to May 2019)? I haven't gotten mine yet. Supposed to credit by end June.

Hi all,

We note that some of you are checking on the rebate crediting for OCBC's SimplyGo MasterCard promotion.

Due to an overwhelming response to the promotion, we are currently checking on the qualification status of all the registrants. Please be assured that if you have successfully registered, you will definitely be eligible for the Rebate if you had spent on Bus/MRT.

We are working to credit the Rebates as early as possible. While we ask for your patience till end July, we expect to resolve this within the next 5-10 days.

Getting frequent entry mismatch when taking the mrt with my Passion mastercard.

Need to go to the train control room to reset the Mastercard.
