IMO the issue is not whether he owns the factory in China but rather where the mattress is made.

Look up the word "manufacture" in a dictionary. If you make something here in Singapore, then you can say its manufactured in Singapore. If the idea is hatched in Singapore but the actual manufacturing process is done in China, then you can NOT say its manufactured in Singapore.

Its like some electronic brands advertise certain TVs or certain refrigerators as "made in Japan" or "made in Korea". This is to give the sense of premium quality as opposed to other brands or other models which may be made in China, Thailand or Malaysia where the manufacturing is "more inferior".

If the actual TV or fridge is advertised as "made in Japan" it MUST be made in Japan. You can't say brand A is a Japanese brand and the idea came from the HQ in Japan but to cut cost we manufacture in China and we still brand it as "made in Japan". That is misleading the customer.

Same thing here. The idea may have come from a Singaporean and whatever technology or technique may have come from a Singaporean but if the mattress is made in China, then you must brand it as made in China. You can NOT say its made in Singapore.

Firstly, I thought advertising is not allowed. So why is Tilam King allowed to post so many threads about his mattresses without any penalty?

Secondly, if I was Tony I would be careful about what I say. People can easily get sued when they make remarks about other brands without proof.

Thirdly, I would take advise from a neutral third party but certainly not from a mattress manufacturer. Its like Samsung trying to tell you to buy their phone 'cos its better than HTC, LG and Sony. Would you believe Samsung? Likewise, Tony sells Tilam King and is telling you to his is the best and not to waste money with other brands. Would you believe him?

Oh and please spare us the Singaporean support Singaporean theory. I am Singaporean but I will open my eyes and ears before I buy a product. I will not simply buy Singaporean just for the sake of supporting another Singaporean.

I do not make claims that I am the best here, I am simply providing my insights as a real mattress manufacturer that actually knows how to make mattresses. I make sensible remarks and yea probably some nasty ones, but hey this is a forum. Some things we say somethings we cant take back even when we blast out some nasty comments.

but the bottom line is , my conscious is clear.

I do not hide myself my address is here, if you insist on sueing... ;)

ask your lawyer to write to me.

My china factory address is not important as I do not see why I should put it down. Gosh, graciousness brotha... heart... you killing a fellow Singaporean for what? but if you tell me you in the mattress industry, hahaha... I WILL, honestly only laugh at you, because you are no where near me.

I have nothing to hide and nothing to lose, MY OBJECTIVE is to provide for the Singapore consumers, I do not like how the mattress industry markets are sells mattress in MY opinion. Nothing got to do with anyone.

you are the lu gui lu ho style kind of clients, you probably will own a ferrari if you can afford to and live life to your fullest.

I just need to let you know that that is fine by all means, it is your life.

Designed and built in CA.

Mass produced in China.

I am Singaporean, a proud one, it is by no means whereby is misleading as I tell my clients where my factory is.

Like again, it is not the first time you slammed me.

Do not understand why you killing a fellow Singaporean with aspirations man... U having a mid life crisis or what? come visit me, let me talk to you.

Coffee tea on the house.

but if you are from the industry... all I can say is LOL la... thanks for making me popular because you know you cannot knock me down ;)

*strictly the last line is for fellow industry players only. It does not mean I show no respect to the context that is written, I appreciate and will reply to you until you are satisfied.

I cannot run, because I am the real self, you are just a computer to me. Until you come meet me.

Hi Tony,

The debate now is about you proving you are a real manufacturer with real assets owned by your company in China. Why hide your company name and address in China from us?!

You have dodged the question regarding the company name and address of the factory you own in China repeatedly.

I think it's best you clarify with everyone here you are not smoking them you are a manufacturer when you simply just outsource the manufacturing process to a partner in China.

Furthermore, May I have your evidence for the following statement "And in SG no factories can do high quality fabrication at low cost. Because there is no material supermarket plus there is no demand in SG. SG market is really small. " ?

It's your word against the local manufacturers again. This is how you feel, but how do you know? Where do you get the facts? Are there any clear examples?

Just because you cannot achieve economies of scale in Singapore doesn't justify your reasoning ALL factories in Singapore are lousy!

Honestly, prove me your education worth before letting me answer your questions.

it is ridiculous how little you know about economy of scale.

Stop playing the nationalist card. Its getting really stale. So EVERY Singaporean must support you and buy your mattress just because you are Singaporean? LOL!!

You have made a lot of controversial remarks about other brands. I don't work for them so I don't give a hoot. I'm just saying you should be careful of what you say unless you enjoy getting sued by one of them.

If you have solid proof to back up all your claims then fine. Continue your tirade against them. You should have no problems winning the lawsuit IF everything you claimed is true.

I didn't ask for your China factory address. My point was quite simply one can't say their mattress is made in Singapore if the factory is in China.

I slammed you before? I have followed this thread for a long time but these 2 recent threads are the first time I posted anything remotely negative.

I don't know you personally and my questions are purely based on some of the things you've said. At no stage did I get personal. If you think that getting personal will further your cause, good luck to you. You may have the best product in the world but if your EQ and skills in dealing with people are that poor, you need all the luck you can get. :s13:

And I still stand by my question as to how come you are allowed to blatantly advertise your products when some other ppl get their threads deleted and even get infraction points for advertising.

BraVO! When you can't answer his question, you chose to insult his education level.

Bro, and I use that term loosely, as a businessman trying to sell his product, you SERIOUSLY need better EQ. :s22:

lol sorry man... i thought you both are one person ;P whops..

My bad...

Like I have said. I have my life worth of experience, and I answer accordingly to what people ask, and trying to help out fellow forumers whom are fellow Singaporeans get most out of their money. ;)

Remember, this is me.

You are just a nick behind a computer.

Everything you say I have to lose, because you don't give a hoot about our industry.

So be a little gracious bro.

I know you probably support brands, which is good, because they are there for a reason. they are pillars of the industry.

Me as a small company learn from them, they move I move, that's just how manufacturing sector is.

For the big Companies, it is their duty to innovate so that smaller companies will lose out in the long run.

But from a business perspective, if my option is viable then it is their lost and require to re innovate so consumers will feel that there is a need to patronize them.

So the bottom line is, what me as a company is trying to do, to make the industry more transparent so that consumers can know better and spend lesser. It is a win win win situation here.

Just my 2cents.

He needs to understand the basics of economy of scale before I even need to answer any of his questions.

Like again I've said.

I can take him to my factory if he is so curious and interested. By all means welcome. Will love to take a fellow Singaporean there.

Thanks for the highlight, maybe I can do that as a incentive trip to my clients ;)

I can do a video out of it and make it work ;)

Cheers.

I think its hard to believe that you are a manufacturer, but rather just a brand that ask a china factory to produce the mattresses for you. Otherwise, why hide the factory details in China? Everyone knows Apple sub-contracts job to Foxconn in China. King Koil licenses the mattress manufacturing to Matsushita Greatwall Corporation in Asia. There is no secret in such stuff.

Its very hard to believe anything you say and it really seems like you are lying about being a manufacturer! If you give the job to a contract manufacturer in china, just admit it! Why beat around the bush and keep saying you are helping Singaporeans. If you really want to help, step up and show people you can be trusted! :s12:

It comes to my attention that this thread is going off track and many posts contain unsolicited content which degrade competitors' products~

As such I decided to close this thread and start a new thread~ :vijayadmin:
