May 2015 SBF

Stated that results will be out in mid Aug 2015. We applied under fiance scheme. My questions are:
1. What are the chances of getting? (1st timer)
2. By when do we have to submit our marriage cert?
3. If we don't get this flat, should we apply the next SBF or next BTO?

Answers and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1. Your application rate would be whatever the application rate for first timer is in the area you applied for.
2. When you collect the keys to your flat.
3. It's up to you...? BTO generally has a better application ratio compared to sobf, but the areas are different and you have more time to build up ur cpf before you need to collect keys. But it depends also.

Keys cant help you, depends on the project..

As for marriage cert, within 3 or 6 months..If your ROM/Wedding date is later, you need to furnish proof of booking(ROM, Hotels etc etc) to HDB and ask them to extend the deadline..

If got take SHG or AHG need to submit cert upon key collection. Not sure if anyone successfully nego.

For example: after the given extension till 6 mths and I show them my booking of ROM date in nov 2016, will I still have the chance to get the keys? How strict can they be actually?

Applicant and fiance/fiancee (Both the fiance and fiancee must be unmarried, widowed or divorced (with Decree Nisi Absolute granted) at the time of application. They must produce their Marriage Certificate for inspection by HDB, within 3 months after taking possession of the new HDB flat or by the *Delivery Possession Date (DPD), whichever is the later. If either fiance/fiancee is below 21 but 18 years old and above, the written consent of parents or guardians must be submitted with the application).

*Delivery Possession Date (DPD) is the date by which HDB is required under the Agreement for Lease to deliver possession of the flat.

Registration of Marriage

You and your fiancé(e) must:
register your marriage with the Registry of Civil Marriages or Registry of Muslim Marriages (as applicable), and
submit your marriage certificate to the HDB within 3 months from the date of taking possession of the flat

CPF Housing Grant

If you are applying for the CPF Housing Grant, you must submit your marriage certificate on or before the date of taking possession of the resale flat.

Then wait for the results first..If manage to get an appt and by the time your appt is here and the flat you want is still available then check with the CSO during the selection appt..

During application, the DPD is listed under every estate available. Not sure if you can check it now.. Maybe do a google of that project and see the brochure.

Actually my main concern is about submitting my marriage cert. We have not done any booking yet anyway. But our plan is to get married either oct or nov 2016. So if let's say my luck is there to get this SBF then I hope they can wait for the cert instead of rejecting our application after knowing our wedding date. We don't want BTO bcos wait too long. After married we want to straight away move to our new nest.

You need show them all booking receipts in order to convince them to grant deferment for that long..

Receipt = booking of wedding dinner all those stuff..

If not, pray that they accept your reasoning..

Not sure which project yet bcos we have not selected any except for selecting at tamp 4 rm. Still waiting for results in mid aug I suppose?

You definitely have a desired block or area..you can see pcd and dpd when u click on that particular blk if I nv remember wrongly..

As far I can remember, we didn't select any block at all. We only selected tamp 4 room and stay near parents. Oh no don't tell me we miss out something. No luck to get then

What I'm saying is when u click on flat details and that particular block, you would be able to see pcd and dpd..

Tampines is very competitive (oversubscribed), so I suggest when the result is out then think about it.
