Unit trust sounds reasonable - pay $7.50 per month to reach 3rd criteria, that is if you believe in Dollar Cost Averaging. Different story if you don't believe in DCA.

I did unit trust option. Must subscribe initial $1K first, then do $300 every month. Unit trust account opening and initial $1k investment can be done through internet banking, and the sales charge through online channel is 50% off. So normally the 5% sales charge is now 2.5%. The $300 month subscribe must be done at the MB branch. The officer give me 50% sales charge discount as well. Waiting to see if get bonus interest next week.

can sell off then 1k and continue with just monthly $300?

Set up the maybank cc as billing organisation in DBS/POSB ibanking, use DBS/POSB cc to pay min $300 to the maybank cc. Giro from maybank saveup account to pay the DBS/POSB cc.

Hi trazora, i am abit slow on this. Can you explain this giro part again? Does it still work? I intend to open one account in maybank

Better to check with the bank on this, as different banks have diff criteria.
Eg. DBS multiplier specifically states salary credit must show SAL or PAY on statement.
SCB Supersalary acc accepts a monthly Giro of 1.5k just to fulfill the Salary criteria.

Hi actually whats the deal on svb suoersalary? I was checking the website... basically 1.2% interest?

But im asking is it a requirement to have this base before the monthly is counted for interest? Thanks

I think this is the minimum requirement ($1K) to start investment. Not sure about the selling limitation, probably need to maintain a certain minimum value to keep the unit trust account alive.

Anyone tried appealing for the bonus interest for not hitting the $500 spend? I had missed for 2 months for less than $10 spending. Zzz. Confused by my own statement date which cut off mid month.

Hi, may I know which branch did you go to apply for the RSP? I went to a branch today and the officer told me that the sales charge is 5%, and cannot be 2.5% as per the online subscription.

Maybank platcard is by calendar month. The card cycle date doesn't matter for both the save up and the card rebate

Yes likely not going to affect. If it does Maybank is damn cui...anyway if there is any change..the bank would inform you. But I am quite certain it wouldn't affect
