In contemplating serious contenders to BOC SmartSaver, it seems that Maybank Saveup is ticking more boxes compared to the others.

The objective is extremely straightforward: highest bank account interest possible.

The billpay is necessarily GIRO-based payments? That is, a usual bill-pay function from the bank's website to pay off other bank credit cards does not work?

It says:
First S$3,000 - 0.188%
Next S$47,000 - 0.250%
Remaining Balance above S$50,000 - 0.313%

So for $51,000, you have to apply the formula like:
3,000*0.188% + 47,000*0.250% + 1,000*0.313%?

Shall I use the form on Maybank website or apply from the billing organisation bank to deduct the amount monthly?

If the billing organisation is DBS cc, can I set it up online? I checked DBS website, it seems to talk about paying GIRO using DBS as source account.

when would usually the bonus interest come in? I found the following from the FAQ, but from experience from bro here usually is what date?

The Bonus Interest will be credited into the SaveUp Account by the middle of the month following the Relevant Calendar Month.

so far they are quite consistent, 15 of every month (regardless weekday or weekend), evening onwards you should see the interest credited

Dec.16 already, but the Bonus interest still yet to be credited?
