Yup.. can be done... addition 1.68% for 1st 12 months.... but was told by a bank officer that now GIRO (300) exclude payment to GIRO to IRAS.. Not sure about it... cos not mentioned in Maybank's document...

1) I wasn't given a dongle. Do I need a dongle to do funds transfer?

2) Can I pay by Giro manually with this account? Say just pay $300 for income tax through iBanking?

anyone knows if the spending on supplementary Maybank Platinum Visa Card for my wife will contribute towards the $500 spend on CC?

This account no display monitor similar to OCBC360 to check your progress whether you have meet 1 or 2 or 3 categories? Must wait till 15th next month to know whether eligible to get bonus interest?

actually giro and salary already more or less is fixed every month. snlo just left with the 500 cc spend a bit more work. for me, I record all my expenses... so I know exactly how much I already used on my maybank cc.

Thank you for reply. It is true once the giro and salary are fixed, only need to monitor cc spend. This is my first month, so trying to figure out whether I get things right. I guess I only can find out mid of next month.

Better to check with the bank on this, as different banks have diff criteria.
Eg. DBS multiplier specifically states salary credit must show SAL or PAY on statement.
SCB Supersalary acc accepts a monthly Giro of 1.5k just to fulfill the Salary criteria.

I had the same question, I asked the Maybank counter and they say yes. Supp card will contribute to the $500.

Maybank SaveUp requires min CC spending $500 while the cash rebate (3.3%) for CC to be used eg. Platinum Visa is for $300 only, right?

How do you guys manage the shortfall of $200 in between? thanks.

For CC spending part, the effective cash rebate is $30/(3x$500)=2% which seems quite low.

Should add in the bonus interest if you can spend 500. It would be attractive to spend the 200 more then.
