Help!!!

I applied 6065 to both my AC68U and AC87U. (3.0.0.4.378.6065)
Did reset (hold 5sec) after which and configure the routers.

Now almost every settings that I go to and change, both routers will stuck at "Applying settings" or "Please wait, applying settings..."

I can't flash the older firmwares due to the above...

Can anyone help?

RT-AC87U_3.0.0.4_378_6038-gb1f340f Work fine for Note 4 (SM-N910S). 5ms ping, download and upload speed test stable. Just my phone still will switch back to Netgear R7000 5G network if I put the phone beside for 1 hour. May be change the network key rotation interval to "0" will settle this.

your phone switching to r7000 5Ghz is because of the dropped connection with ac87u.

when the phone senses a dropped of connection with ac87u, it automatically scans for the next available saved SSID, which is your r7000.

setting rotation interval to 0 does not help at all.

this is a known problem even for N910G.

force the router into rescue mode and use firmware restoration utility..

Would you want to elaborate a bit on what do you mean by doesn't work well?

Which wireless client are you experiencing problems with?

Currently, the new samsung galaxy devices including Note 4, S6, S6 edge are known to automatically disconnect from the router..

rt-ac87 with the firmware 6065, the client wireless 5 GHz signal reception worsens after about 30 minutes. The problem does not exist with the firmware 6038.
The clients are one USB wireless adapter Netgear A6210, one DLink dwa-182 c1 and one ASUS EA-AC87.

1. Put RT-AC87U in the recovery mode by following these steps:
- turn off the router
- While pressing the "WPS" button at back; turn on the router and keep holding this button for 2 seconds after the router is on and then leave it.
- Quickly press the "RESET" button at back and keep pressing till the power blue led starting blinking slowly.

2. You may not need this step. Change your LAN or WiFi adapter in Windows to a static IP 192.168.1.2 and Gateway 192.168.1.1 if not identified.

3. Go to your browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1 (unless you change it)

4. You should be in the recovery firmware page. Browse the firmware and press upload button.

I think the frequencies used in Japan is different from Singapore. Should not try to use I think.

AC87 and Link Aggregation to get 1700mbps internet.

I've been thinking about getting the viewqwest 2gbps service. Through their microtek router, you can connect two Ethernet cables from router to computer using link aggregation to get 2gbps internet on the computer.

I was wondering if instead the two Ethernet cables could be connected to the asus ac87 using link aggregation. Then using the 1700mbps band, I could have maximum 1700mbps internet over wifi. I know there is only the ea87 which I could use to take advantage of this, but then I could buy multiple ea87 and have the potential of 1700mbps internet on those. Then the ea87 could be connected to computers using link aggregation to take advantage of the internet speed. This way I could have multiple computers using the 1700mbps, rather than just one with the microtek router.

While only the ea87 supports 1700mbps, there should be a few that can run at 1300mbps. So those could connect directly to the ac87 to get 1300mbps internet.

Possible?

Thanks bro. I got the asus firmware recovery app from asus support page. Did a firmware downgrade to earlier version and everything is back to normal again

well the unwanted and enabled wps a5 5GHz bug is once again present on a hard-reset and manually configured 6065...

same problem ... it does not see all folders in DLNA on smart tv LG with fw 378.6065
DLNA is the most important thing for me but it's not functioning properly. Can it be solved ?
