An auto-update antivirus signature would be nice.Theres a compability issue with ADATA HDDs they wont use power management features will be active 24 hours only when they formatted to NTFS.Except that the router is working perfect still no battery drain at least for me.I got connected an Asus Tranformer T100TA(5G),Samsung Galaxy TAB4 7"(5G) and a Nokia 1520(5G).

I do not know you have not tested AC87U use 2WAN (cable) connection, if opened a "firewall" - no "Enable DOS protection" issue permission to access the Internet after it?

Did you see all changes what add RMerlin ?I send you... in previuos post. Maybe Asus can use this solution... and add to stock firmware.

I also have the same problem and when i set back data and then set again today i also see different data.


And why in setting GSM on router not implemet all modem support to list ? Now is add some modem but asus list support has other modem model... Please add all model modem to this list to firmware.

hi jk, there has been a lot of talk about this. A bit here and a lot over at SNB. I think it is pretty much universally experienced by those who have taken the time to check for it. Basically it seems to affect uniquely the iPad Air 2 (although I'm not sure the latest iPhones have been tested, so could be affected). 5Ghz only. We think it started with IOS 9 and affects up to 9.0.2. We have tried with beamforming on and off. Not found a 5Ghz setting which doesn't show the problem (tried playing with beacon times and it didn't help).

The symptom is that when the iPad Air 2 sleeps it:
- Connects to 5Ghz radio
- 30-40 secs later, if you refresh the wireless network log you see the Rx speed drop to single digits (often 7)
- 30-40 secs after that the device drops off the network
- after about another minute it reconnects to the network at full speed and you can see it reapply for an IP address in the main log

This repeats indefinitely on roughly 3 minute cycles until the iPad wakes or it decides to connect, instead, to the 2.4Ghz network, where it will stay connected.

As I say, several have seen this behaviour. I think it is solidly consistent. It does not affect any of our other iDevices - iPad 2 (not Air), iPhone 5, 5s, 6, iPad Mini, iPad Mini 2 - just the Air 2.

Its the ADATA HV620 usually after a while when the harddisk is in idle mode the led turns off and harddisk goes to powersave mode.This doesnt happen when its formatted in NTFS at EXT4 format it works perfect.

Anybody notice a slight lag in sending Whatsapp and Telegram messages on the 5GHz network? I'm using an iPhone 6s Plus on iOS 9.1 Beta 4. The issue does not appear at all on the 2.4GHz network.

I am a simple user, only wants the wireless coverage to increase
currently can cover the whole house (typical BTO design with MBR very far from living room)

AC68u can reach MBR but not stable.
not interested in getting a homeplug

will upgrading help?

RT-AC68U to RT-AC87U or RT-AC3200 only increase the wireless coverage wider.

Anyway, I recommend you wait for RT-AC5300.
