Dear JK,
I make a suggestion! I recommend adding LED timer switch option, although the router panel LED on the key. But I do not want to go there every day twice. LED at night is really bright. I do not know JK can add it in the next firmware? For example, I want the LED lights up 7:00 am, 23:00 to close. This will not affect my sleep, you think?
best wishes

I'll add a self destruct option for you. Just for you.

as You see, no suggestion from user. User can only buy.
Funny is that other users are happy with this situation. Brainless zombies ?

I think the success of a product, performance, quality is important, but can receive feedback and modify subscribers is more important. It should add more user-friendly features!

Watch your mouth son.I enjoy my router its stable as a rock, protects my network and i have nothing to complaint about. Its right above my office so dont have to QQ about wifi icons and other stuff.Asus follows a certain line on their products and we trust them. You cant just come on a foreign forum that we are guests to complaint and insult everyone.

ASUS mean just sell it and forget it. It does not take into account the comments userów. It introduces features that are not working. For example teaming. This feature will not be added so posted. But the specification is that the model RT-AC87U supports this feature. Icon also wifi is needed that is why Merlin has implemented it in his FW. ASUS says no. However, in the model 4G-AC55U he added without problem.

On other forum SNB(SmallNetBuilder) i create thread with features and bugs , and my thread was deleted without reason.

I am for listening to users and what they need to create something in a uniform manner. And now there is something added from one type of buttons and elsewhere is another type of button.
I showed a few posts earlier unless they already have been deleted so as not to reveal the mistakes made by ASUS.

I do not care about the icon, Earlier I suggested adding CPU and wifi temperature show that they did not adopt, this is optional, but with the time switch LED This is a very user-friendly features, my router in the bedroom. Always will affect the meeting, but I do not want every day to press LED switch.

For show temp CPU and WIFI i also postulate. But my suggestion was rejected and delete. We can not nothing do. ASUS NOT HEAR USERS !!!

Can you give us a reason ?

If you want the icon, you can mod the source code and compile it. I do the same for my own router.

I'm happy Asus keep their promise to release the source code. Btw, I'm the maintainer of asuswrt-phantom.

But in Merlin FW icon Wifi is added. In your also should be, because you are fork Merlin code from Github.

Maybe you can restore edited and name show client from original ASUS code not from Merlin ? Because on FW Merlin on NetworkMap is other show and in LAN>DHCP is other and AIProtect also is other name...
In original ASUS Code is ok and is more clear.

And can i send you Pull Request on github to add for POLAND Provider GSM - AERO2 ?

It was also welcome ASUS posting the Quantenna GPL on the RT-AC87U product page available to download, similar to what other manufacturers do, such as Netgear on R7500 model using the same Quantenna radio:

http : / / w w w .downloads.netgear.com/files/GPL/R7500-and_qtn_gpl_src_V1.0.0.94.zip

ASUS simply never release it after almost 2 years now on the market.

Dear all,

We are working on newer SDK 5Ghz driver and we will release after testing.

Below message is especially for PepeEL & VANT,

I will answer your future question below.

- We will release as official build when it is done. - NO ETA.
- The new firmware will be using the newer SDK then 380_721.
- We won't be adding WIFI icon or anything you suggested to input the firmware.

Best regard,
JK
