Yup but talking from price point, Mi Note not within the budget of below $300. The diff of 0.5 inch is compensated by the features the new Mi4I can offer to the budget segment particularly, Wifi802.11ac. So far the only other competitior in this budget segment with it is Jiayu S3, but Jiayu S3 OS not something that everyone likes and also some people complain battery life not consistent.
Just need to wait for reviewers to go hands on the Mi4I. The hot qns is will the second generation 615 qualcom Snapdragon beat the mtk6752. Need to note this version of 615 was specially develop by Qualcom India. India smartphone segment is mainly budget for now so I believe the results should be quite good.

Btw, what makes Wifi802.11ac so impt is that connection speed can be 400MbPs for ac while normal WiFi standard we see only 100Mbps. So in download and upload definitely will have difference and provided u got good internet too.

Just got my phone today. Immediate put on my anti blue light screen protector n casing. Phone feels very light. Fly OS is simplify but not as good as I feel it could be. Apps icon r doubled on desktop. I have 2 whatapps icon when installed. Many widgets r not available. Battery life quite decent so far. Tomorrow test more. Now 8hr charging cycle

I'm sorry but I have to correct you. Mi4I camera will be using the same sensor as that of Mi Note hence the quality is believed to be better.

Also, both are dual SIM but in terms of 64 bit processor, Mi4I is 4 at 1.7 ghz, 4 at 1.1 ghz (Battery life greatly improved) while Meizu M1 Note Mtk6752 is all 8 at 1.7ghz.

of cos you can ... u can see my home screen, - just added another widget (Android central)

In fact, you can add Muzei Live Wallpaper & third party keyboard -
google now also working (if you want to put that as a widget)

i must be completely honest with you, there are still some tiny software bugs
least these are the "famous bugs"

can you live without WAZE , CANDY CRUSH ? - these two apps cant run on Meizu -
dun ask me why, i also dun know ... but least Meizu HQ knows about and it working with the app developers

also another thing is that Youtube cant play FHD, or 1080, mode ... even though hardware supports it ...

these are software issues - to me, i dun use WAZE (i use Nokia here maps) and dun play games at all ... youtube display is not an issue - a solution is coming "soon"

as I'm using PRC model, once in a while i get a "error message" that app "stopped working" .. it is quite random ... but i can live with it ... Flyme is still a "bit rough" - but nothing of a deal breaker ...

PRC model - you need to check the LTE bandwidth of your phone - my one can use Singtel 4G LTE.

this is my First ever PRC phone ... it is quite an "experience", very different from Nexus & WP

and i really like it a lot (least for my MX4 Pro - the audio really the best - among my "toys" , cum display, QHD + , finger print sensor, etc )

no regrets for me ... (price vs benefits)

but most important is whether you want to buy online, go malaysia (JB) or go Adix82

the later two options, you can test the hardware on the spot , check for dead pixels, and other physical n software tests ....

so the final decision is yours

that is the decision that you need to make, (risk vs reward)
if you really need warranty, my best advice go over to JB (JBCC or the other two authorized dealers), get the set there, least you have piece of mind ...

JB set to have Meizu service center "soon".

but who knows what the future holds? maybe Meizu see potential in SG market and also want to open shop / least go online first - follow XiaoMi? (Alibaba did invest in Meizu for USD $590 million) they sure want Meizu to expand and succee -
