hei guys, just wanna do a check with you guys:

how much do you spend on clothes, shoes, pants and personal grroming a month..and list the favourite brands also if you can...

i'll go with mine.

Clothes:
Payday is a time for me to decide on 2 clothes. one casual and one smart or two casuals. no mroe no less cos I am one of those guys who can shop till you drop. And these days, I tend to concentrate @ Topshop and Zara. Most expensive item ever bought: Blazer which burned me by 250.

I starting to look at Project Shop Blood Brothers for casual t shirts and wear but damn the price is sky high though the clothes are nice.

Anyone can recommend shops which have the same style as Topshop and Zara. by the way, I LOVE ZARA. their clothes are long lasting

Shoes:
Have always been Bata and nothing else. Not really a shoe expert.

Pants:
Been picking up my pants at G2000 cos i tink they sell the most reasonable priced ones. Other than that its Zara but Zara pants are pretty steep

Facial Grooming:
Just to let you guys know, I found a cheap and effective method of cleansing. Currently Im using the St Ives range which is damn good, I also use theitr toners and I finish it with a Body Shop for men sun block. Skin has improved tremendously and no pimples at all.

once every week I will used the ST Ives Clay Mask for tightening pores. good stuff

and once every two weeks, i scrub with ASPIRIN TABLETS..no kidding, they are good shiat cos they contain salicyclic acid and it really removes my dead skin cells and makes it stay that way for at least 2 weeks...i recommend you guys try it..not recommended thoguh for asthma pple and also face with heavy pimples.

Thanks. I have a black suit. I'd like to do something fancy for my long sleeve, maybe include a vest also.

But, I'm also thinking of white theme. xD

Traditionally it is accepted that in interviews, the majority of candidates, both men and women, will dress conservatively, and opt for dark colours to give the impression they wish to be taken seriously. Those that choose bright colours, for example a scarlet suit, will certainly impress upon their prospective employer their sense of individuality and confidence, but I wouldn't suggest it! In an interview it is best to err on the side of caution.

Hence most will choose to wear formal grey, black, or dark blue. However, even without wearing that vibrant purple suit you can add some colour - think shirts, blouses, ties, shoes, accessories.

The following gives an indication of what your colour-choice signifies to others. Bear in mind, in an interview, your interviewer/s will be studying you with far more intent than in most normal personal confrontations.

Wear black and you will seem respectful, in control and disciplined. However you may look inflexible and pompous. So if you must go for black, add a soothing colour, and make sure your open friendliness is on display as well.

Wear brown and you will seem honest and down to earth - but all brown and you may also seem dull and boring. Light brown implies genuineness while dark brown is seen as dependable. A good choice if you want to give the impression you are a "safe bet". Not really a strong enough colour for a management position interview, unless your presence alone is strong enough, or the company has strong environmental beliefs, or sells farm and country products.

Wear red and you will be the centre of attention. As an accessory colour this works well, it shows ambition and energy. As a main colour it is too 'loud' and will give the impression that whilst courageous and vital, you are probably a terribly listener and insensitive to others.

If you wear pink, you will seem affectionate and caring, but this is probably a colour to avoid in interviews, as it signifies the weakest emotional colour lacking willpower and the ability to control your emotions. Is that really the impression you wanted to give? Unless it’s a company with an extreme 'touchy feely' culture, leave it in the closet.

If you wear orange, or shades of orange such as peach, you will seem competent and independent. Too bright an orange and you may seem youthfully exuberant, which can look as if you are lacking in commitment to this particular role. Warm pale shades are best; you will seem active and able, but less restless. This is a particularly good colour for media/marketing/ advertising and sales.

Wear yellow and you will show you are capable of inventiveness and coping with challenge. Yellow is a particularly good colour for those in the IT sector because it signifies new technology combined with intelligence and inspiration.

Dark Blue will give a very conservative, cautious image. This will add maturity if you are younger, and show stability if you are older. Good if the prospective company has a traditional image and values. You will look as though will not rock the boat and share those old fashioned values. Banks, Financial Institutions, Insurance companies...however if the company is younger, with a more innovative style then add bright colours to show maturity teamed with flexibility.

If you wear white...firstly leave the dazzling disco diva suit at home. White shirts (and they must be pristine white) show respect for oneself and cleanliness. A must if the company has conventional standards and culture.

Purple has always been a colour of those in power, and so signifies mastery and majesty, and for that reason is a good choice for management and leadership candidates. Dark purple will give the impression of strength and power, but it is still recognised as a non-conventional colour so better for newer companies than old established firms.

Green and blue green signify a person who is calm and quiet, but this may not work in your favour if the prospective company culture is one where ambition and drive is the key to success. Good for accountancy and financial positions, because of the observance and caution it signs.
