Personality takes about 2weeks. Should be quite standard for them cause according to the boss, they do all the shirts in-house, no outsourcing etc.

It varies from tailor to tailor how long it takes, some can do it as fast as 2days to 2weeks etc.

Nope 3shirts and 1 pants from another tailor.

Had another shirt from personality.

Thanks man.
Mind letting me know the tailor you got your 3 shirt done since you find it good.
How about Personality? Collected and review?

Thanks again!

Made the 3shirts + 1 pants at Penusila basement, York's Taylors, its at the corner. Cutting not bad, the boss is a very very good salesman and a super slick talker. Just be on guard lol.

Personality takes notes of the details which York didnt.

eg: i wear a fairly huge watch (seiko monster), he noted that and told me that he has to measure the circumfrence of the watch instead of my wrist, ass the cuff's had to go through it.

York didnt do that thus one of my shirts with french cuffs has abit of a tight squeeze.

Overall satisfied with both, but would probably bring my money back to Personality.

i ALWAYS take note of the watch... it should be a standard "detail" and not something special

Thanks man! Guess i will go to Personality for what you have mentioned. I'm a person who like details thus trying to stay "focus" and try hard not to walk into Raoul and get their shirt as i simply love their tapered 2 ply shirt! :s13:

Guess i have to dropby soon else my money will be gone to the wrong shop. :o

not really... who said pants are cheaper? much depends on the fabric
pants at G2000 are like ~$50? isn't that almost the same as the shirts? i'm not talking about those 2 for $40 crap i mean those stripes ones... normal pricing not during sales

bought 1 zara shirt last weekend...and brought it to a tailor shop in amk(fren kai siao one) to alter the sleeves.

the tailor say he can make the same cuttings for me...cheaper also,80 bugs. he showed me the fabrics.
not bad...he is knowledgeable too.

made a pinstriped pants as well...75 bugs... :D

What did you do to your sleeves? I have a few shirts which had sleeves that were 3-4cm too long for my liking. Is it possible to alter them? Would it affect the infrastructure of the shirt?

lol. very simple design as i am not into french cuffs etc etc.
My requests:
1. hidden buttons (just a fine touch i like for shirt),
2. rounded simple cuff with 2 buttons (ain an executive to carry off a french cuff, ain a sale person as well so opt for simple cuff since i do fold up during the mid of day),
3. no front pocket (never find the need for pocket since i do not like stuffing anything in it, to me looks more nicer without a pocket),
4. harder collar (i don't wear tie plus i have a long neck so a standing harder collar will be nicer than normal collar which will lay flat at the end of day... well that's for me...),
5. removable collar stay slot (got a pair of rodium collar stay as a gift so like to use it. beside i do not like the collar stay sew in as it will create "impression" when you iron the collar),

Above are my requests but doubt it adds to the cost as Eric (the man talking and taking measurements) told me to select fabric and told me straight it's 85 per shirt as it's two ply cotton.
Told me those 60-70buck shirts are not of 100% cotton. I was like "orh..." :o

Was actually thinking of making 2 shirts actually but after hearing the price, decided to make one first to see how good he is despite the difference is just a 15bucks per shirt. Oh well...

See if i in the mood to take a pic when wearing it. Might post and get myself exposed! :s13:Collection time is 2 week. Standard according to him no matter how many shirt i made.

And guess what... after i walk out of there, i make my way to Raoul at RafflesCity and look at their shirt..... :s13:
