Hi

Hi just want to have some views. I am looking for a brown belt as i recently got formal brown shoes. However the tone for most of the brown belts I have come across are darker or different tone colour. Wil it look weird if i wear a belt that is slightly darker with light brown shoes? any commens is appreciated.

Tanned tones are not considered as formal.
The lighter the tone, the less formal your shoe is.

Sorry yr definition of tanned tone includes light brown? Yes i know that if the tone of the shoe is lighter it is less formal.

You can try Lucky Plaza @ Orchard 2nd floor and the workmanship is quite good but cheaper price is how cheap???

Truly speaking it is quite hard to get good workmanship at a cheap price.
how much do they charge to taper + alter a pair of business pants?

Yes light brown is considered less formal. Match it with a grey/charcoal pants and it will look quite nice.

Thanks for your suggestion. Yea probably will wear them on thursday ha.

Pedro range isnt too bad but the designs r probably the same. I have been to Uniqlo and they have a huge variety of belts. But not many brands carry matching belts and shoes (excluding those at robbinson or huge department stores)

I not sure how much they charge to alter pants... I only know they charge $6, $12 or $15 to alter the sleeves depending on where they alter eg. from the cuff (cheaper but not very nice) or from the shoulders (abit more but nicer) based on the shirts materials, pattern etc...

Pedro shoes are ok imo but the headache comes when you are trying to get a matching belt (esp for brown belt). Either the color of the belt is wayyyy off from the color of the shoes or it has a hideous buckle (non-changeable btw).

Anyone else can share any place to get matching belt and shoes?
P.S. Looking for brown shoes/belt

Thanks

Thanks. There is only 1 tailor on that floor? Else later I walk around asking and compare prices, will they give the disgusted look or not :s13:

I'm not really sure of the price hence I asked, so I guess as long it is as cheap as it can be without affecting workmanship too much I'm ok. If it is 1 or 2 shirts I won't bother to ask, but because I have a few that I want to alter I'm trying to save cost if not one shot alter them very siong.

Without specifying the method of alteration, the neighbourhood one at my place wants to charge $15 a piece few weeks back. So $6 sounds very good to me :D So they have $6 service for altering from the cuff? Can consider :s7:

The shop name is CJ Apparels by an Indian guy. He actually explains to me why they charges at different prices because of where they are altering.
