29 is for those straight cutting pants, whereas for the slim cutting ones, the smallest size is 30. I tried them on, slightly loose on the waist, and they don't do alteration...

Zara pants are way too big for me, I've been there.

I am more than willing to pay the BR price, if I could find a good fit from them.

It's always been difficult for me to get pants, too bad to be too slim

Maybe you can tailor them. Most tailors will carry good cotton fabric. Price should be $60-90 (my tailor quoted me $90 for a pretty good cotton fabric). Thanks.

The fabric seems quite smart-looking as opposed to entirely casual. Am not comfortable introducing the tailor at this point, as I have never used this fabric. Not entirely sure how it will turn out. I think the tailoring thread on this forum should have some recommendations of good tailors to go to.

People will not hold you accountable if you just share your experience. With that price you mentioned just now I think many bros out there are interested as well. But of course if you insist...

Will pm you.

Greetings,

Im starting work on 3rd May 2010, as a Operations Supervisor at PSA. (Tanjong Pagar Terminal)

What should i wear? Im just finish army not long ago and this is my first 'Major' job.

Please advise.

Pants and a short sleeve shirt will do for the first day. You will be issued with a white polo as "uniform" for you day-to-day subsequently.

is it advisable to destitch the breastpocket of the shirt?
my shirts are from g2k

why do u want to do that? u can try with an old shirt....just tailor shirt next time without pocket. looks smarter...dont really need a pocket unless u wanna put ur mont blanc...lol...

For the left breast pocket, it's function over form, most of the time. This is because, traditionally, formal shirts DO NOT need to have it. The jacket/blazer/coat will have one on the inside.

If your work environment only requires you to wear just the shirt, then, you have to see if you need the pocket. If your shirt is funky/more fashion forward, style wise, it may not be a good idea to have the pocket.

All my tailored shirts have the LBP.

cufflinks for senior management? hah?

wat law dictates this? fashion law? wats the penalty for breaking it?

shirts and pants cannot carry slingbags? hah hah?

u get one bag, u stuff all ur junk in it, u're done. period.

You are the man bro.. I am working in Tanjong Pagar and I also carry a backpack or nike sports sling back. Its not just about being about spacious enough to stuff your items inside, but also about comfort as not all leather sling bags are comfortable and most are not durable.

It is not law, just what it was originally meant for.

Cufflinks were originally meant to be wear with a tie and suit...which typically only senior management wears suits. That was what I meant. Of course modern metrosexual guys are free to wear anything one likes, as long as he can pulls it off. But it pays to know the history.

For example, anyone knows why male and female shirts, the buttons are on opposite sides?

Because when you get used to your own, it makes the transition easier when it comes your time to undress a member of the opposite sex..?

Hi guys,

I'm having a little problem. how is the fitting of the cuffs for you guys? is it supposed to fall below your wrist bone towards the bottom of your thumb? or is it supposed to end at the wrist showing a glimpse of your watch?

Actually the length of the sleeve is just nice but the circumference of the cuff is pretty loose and i can put my hand through with it fixed.

Should i alter the length of the sleeve? or is it even possible to alter the circumference of the cuff. so that the cuff will end just nicely at my wrist bone area?
