Hi guys,

I'm having a little problem. how is the fitting of the cuffs for you guys? is it supposed to fall below your wrist bone towards the bottom of your thumb? or is it supposed to end at the wrist showing a glimpse of your watch?

Actually the length of the sleeve is just nice but the circumference of the cuff is pretty loose and i can put my hand through with it fixed.

Should i alter the length of the sleeve? or is it even possible to alter the circumference of the cuff. so that the cuff will end just nicely at my wrist bone area?

IMHO it shld cover wrist and only
put on cufflink after put on your shirt....

i'll be going for my uni attachment in abt a month's time. would like to buy some new office wear since my poly attachment office wear which i haven't been touching them for years, appeared to be , esp the pants which is so baggy. can't imagine i actually wore it to work few years back. i probably looked like a cock. :o

i'm abt 168/55. yes, i'm kinda skinny, or rather, slim. so i'm wondering, shld i tailor-made or i can just buy those off the rack office wear? how's G2000?

It's just an internship.

Don't need to buy so many.

You could probably recycle some of them if they still fit.

but they looked old that is why i wanna buy new ones.

you should consider checking out the robinsons sale now. they have really good stuff on sale at very reasonable prices.

i will personally recommend the $45 reuben jones shirts and $35 daniel hecter ones. they are of contemporary fit and the material is on par with what you get from tailors. soft and yet thick. with the robinsons sale, there is really no reason why you should be paying $60 for a decent g2000 shirt whose shirt quality is not as good as that of reuben jones.

the goldlion flat front pants go for about $39. if you want absolutely fantastic quality, i.e even better than mens tradition's pants, you can try the reuben jones pants. the cloth is pretty amazing. they go for $79 a pair.

moreover, if you do not put on weight quite easily, i would advise you invest in 2-3 pairs of good pants. you can wear them for many years at a go. ive worn my previously tailored pants for 5 years and counting already. do check out the $70+ range of pants at robinsons.

if you want ties, you can consider the goldlion ones as well. they go for $39 a piece and the material is better than the 2 for $59 ones on a neighbouring rack. incidentally the 2 for $59 ones are of similar quality with those that go for $5-8 at random stores.

ive spent close to 5 hours (over the past 3 weeks) in robinsons raffles city looking at office clothing for both myself and my brother so these are the 'good and value-for-money' finds that i have come up with.

please dont. the 2 for $49 shirts are the super thin kind of cloth. i wore it for work when i was in ns. the fit is passable. just that when you wear it the shirt tends to 'fluff' up instead of falling nicely in the case of a good quality shirt. if you need it as an emergency shirt, then probably you can consider those.

else, id really suggest you go check out the shirts at robinsons. stay away from the goldlion shirts and the cheapest choices. those are on par with g2000's 2 for $49 shirts. pay a little more and the increase in quality will be quite satisfactory.

my brother bought the g2000 $39 pants and my mom complained about it. the material is thin, no doubts bout that. but do you want the shape of your dick to be showing through the thin pants materials?

at the very least get the goldlion $39 pants. those are thicker than the g2000 cheap pants and are prob still 'cooling' enough for our local weather.

haha it is actually quite true. try wearing a pair of g2000 pants and look at yourself from the side in the mirror. you can see quite a visible bulge. i didnt actually recognize such a problem until my mom pointed this out recently when my brother bought new pants from g2000.

i was lucky to have bought good quality pants so far. both my mom and i agree it has more to do with the thickness/quality of the pants. the thicker cloth materials will not display a bulge as vividly.

personally im quite happy with uniqlo's polo tees. my gf pointed out that the formal shirts were rather nice though i was quite turned off by the button down collars. the material is passable if their 'technology' claims are to be believed.

youd prob have to feel for yourself how your uniqlo shirt feels on you. i dont like cloth thats more like paper than cloth, i.e g2000's 2 for $49 shirts.
