Hows Gangnam clinic compared to Aeon Medical & Aesthetic Centre?
Think both has good reviews so far.
Aeon is more upmarket i think. the type of laser used is different as well.

Anyone can share the cost of Gangnam and how are the effects?
Thinking of getting help for my pores![]()
can anyone also share hows the service level like after signing up the package? heard bad reviews abt PPP laser regarding service.
I paid 1800 for a package of 20 session so work out at 90 per session. You can buy bigger package which will work out even cheaper. Package can be shared
Service standard I have always found to be very good. This is why I don't mind going back. My own experience is that the treatment is tailored to you and is not a standard treatment that everyone gets. This is important for you to know because I have tried others where I get the feeling I am one of the many patients getting exactly the same product.
I have heard and read poor reviews about PPP too. I did the trial there myself, as well as some other places but the best experience was at Gangnam Laser Clinic so I decided to take their package. They didn't hard sell there either.
PPP was much cheaper per session but after hearing people go so many times in a week just to use up package or maintain, I calculate that it actually becomes more expensive. Not to mention the time you waste queueing and travelling to and from clinic. If you factor in your time, it becomes super expensive.
I have never had to wait very long at Gangnam. I have also never felt like I am being pushed into buying any package treatment.
As for someone asking about side effects, there is no downtime and I didn't suffer redness. My skin is good for my age. Not oily, no acne problem.
Even my wife goes there now and her friends tried and bought etc. So all in all I would recommend to anyone.
Can always go for their trial. I think it is 48 for the first and if you buy a package they won't charge for the trial (so I heard)

What kind of package did you sign up for? Normal facial package? Or with treatment like laser resurfacing?
1) what kind of tailored treatment?
2) Which branch/doctor is preferred?
3) what's the interval between treatments?
1) The laser settings can be adjusted by the doc if you need it stronger
Also for acne sometime they do carbon if you need. My wife did and it was the same cost
2) for me raffles place is more convenient. Dr Daniel Chang is there.
3) My frequency is about 1 to 2 weeks
thanks...i did the trial, was clear for 2 days, then 3rd day had some new pimples....
One laser session wont make that much diff.
I take the laser treatments as part of the overall skin care regime.
I guess trials are for us consumers to meet the doc and get comfortable with the place.
Ive tried a few places myself and didnt always like the treatment. Some lasers were just uncomfortable that i didnt even want to finish the treatment
thanks for sharing. Did u have pigmentation, scars and acne issues prior to the laser treatments? if yes, hows the progress?
No worries. This forum is all about sharing info.
I do have pigmentation but nothing that really concerns me. The doc says it can be cleared but i havent really bothered too much about it because I cannot stay out of the sun.
Acne not a problem although the occasional pimple(s)
I guess I keep going back because they did a nice job with the botox and my jaw line looks a lot better than before botox
Nice...so it seems like you dont really have much of a skin issue to begin with. I am the opposite, i have oily and acne prone skin with scars and pigmentation. Thats why i'm skeptical abt the effectiveness of laser facial.....it might be too mild to solve serious skin issues....
need some assurance before i throw in 2388 for 40 treatments
No I guess I don't have much of an issue to start with, but am like many others in wanting to look better and will just do what I can.
I think laser alone is not enough. It has to be combined with the right products and this requires quite a lot of trial and error.
My wife has oily and acne prone skin and uses the laser regularly. She finds that it helps, but I also see her change products every few months. I also tried different products and some gave me acne breakout where as some worked well. Everyone is different and will react differently.
There are many different clinics offering what seems to be a similar product and sometimes very competitive pricing so I agree that you need to be assured before you part with the hard earned cash. If it works it money well spent but if it doesn't, who knows if its the doctor or the laser or just your skin condition.
My suggestion is to go with a smaller package if you can and work with the doctor that you feel comfortable with. This is why I couldn't go for the type of clinic where they make you queue for ages, then rush you in, and rush you out with zero consultation even though you spend a lot on the package.
Just remember, you need to monitor over a period of time. One treatment alone in any clinic is not going to make any problem that you may have go away so easily.
Ill like to try out the laser treatment at gangnam as well, but gonna have 1 week reservist coming up in first week of feb. Should i visit the clinic now or after my ict? Might need to be exposed to sunlight during reservist so im not sure if its wise to start the treatment now before reservist.
Should be ok before but personally I wouldn't do laser if I know I'm going into the sun the next day or so. The doc will advise using sunblock in any case
went for the trial last sat and they advised me to come back 2 week later.
I am thinking of going for my next session this sat. what do you think? no peeling or redness ect since day 1.

Is there visible improvement?
My pores are the size of a 50 cent coin, not sure if it will help?![]()
