existing legacy zero1 starter >>> 100gb with 4G unlimited data, no roaming data
new zero1 starter >>> 100gb, 2gb roaming data

your plan, your lifestyle, your choice

the 2G roaming appears to be a one-time allocation, applicable only for sign ups before 31 Jan 2025. not that attractive to me.

edit: kinda like the gomo 4g plans, roaming is also one time. I wonder if these feature limitations are dictated by singtel.

Anyone faced issue with zero1 overseas data roaming?

I bought an add on for EuroUSA where they say includes Canada. But after purchase, the email confirmation, SMS confirmation and receipt said that it was EuroAsia. But in the zero1 app, it still stated EuroUSA, so I just try lor. But no roaming data.

So I email their CS, and they confirm that it was a glitch, EuroUSA is correct and told me must connect to ROGERS only can (at that time it was connected to TELUS). But I keep trying to connect to ROGERS, always fail. So, I send them proof. They say they look into it. They only replied me 2 days later, and ask me try again. I restart my phone and still same issue, can't connect to their preferred network.

So I email them and ask how to proceed, or can just refund me as I didn't use a single byte of data. I also send a screen record of being unable to connect to ROGERS. They just replied me saying self initiated purchase cannot refund.

And now ask me for proof that ROGERS got no data.... Problem is, can't even connect to that network.

Horrible cell service and even worse customer service.

What is the point of these Jumbo Plans? I am curious because they are 0 per month, but that excludes 30 day service. So in actuality, it is a S$12.30 (or a 20.40) monthly cost? I wonder what's the use case for this if there is a cheaper S$7.06 starter plan?

More for foreigners. Sometimes they are here, sometimes they are not

thanks for that info. i actually did a change plan to that 4G Starter Plus. like some here, i don't even reach 20GB of data a month, but the roaming on AP countries is appreciated.

You brought out an interesting plan, now that Circles Life and Maxx no longer offer $0 Base Plan. This Jumbo Go could be the replacement for parking no. but i suppose it is just in dormant state when in Base Plan mode.

Yes, to be still able to receive incoming calls u need either M1 Maxx or Heya.

Even Eight after plan expiry cannot receive incoming calls, only incoming sms.

Looks like it's competing with the maxx $12 plan, but.....

the T&C does not mention how long the $0 base plan lasts, and what are the conditions to retain it.

neither does the FAQ

Actually jumbo has been quite a while and not a recent plan. In any case I think jumbo base plan is no use if one still wants to receive incoming calls.

i see. i've not been looking at zero1 or the other mvnos who lease from st. anyway, agree that maxx and heya are best suited for parked number that need to receive calls/sms.

There is a related point where you can remain subscribed there if by any chance you fail to pay the actual $12.3 (or $20.4).

If I top up late, few days after 30 days, will my SIM expire?
No, your SIM will not expire but your benefits will end. You can still top up anytime (within 90 days) to enjoy the 30 days benefits again.

I realized now these jumbo plan is meant to be "topped up" (ie. not auto charge like the usual plans that will auto deduct from your card) with the designated price (of desired usage/utilization) and will have an active period of 30 days, and an inactive period of 90 days. I am not sure if that inactive period can still receive SMS and calls. If so, the whole cycle to just keep the number with you goes as low as 12.3 / 4 months = S$3.08 per month. Its just my theory.

Thanks, i missed that point. Yeah, the key is whether calls/sms can be received during the 90day period. But for purposes of just parking/OTP, then the Heya plan is cheaper.

The 2GB Asia roaming data is included under the new enhanced plan “zero1 starter 4G Plus”

existing legacy zero1 starter >>> 100gb with 4G unlimited data, no roaming data
new zero1 starter >>> 100gb, 2gb roaming data

your plan, your lifestyle, your choice

Woah means can just switch to the new starter plan just like that? 😮😮😮
