Noob question... A single mesh only has 2 ethernet ports right?

My living room currently has a tplink 4 port router that has my television, ip radio and Web cam wired connected to it.

If I use a mesh, I will just need to get a switch to link up my TV, ip radio and cam?

Ont-->mesh-->switch-->tv/ip radio / cam

You need to first establish which device is playing the router role. It could be the ONT or it could be the TPLink Router (i.e. although its called a router, it can also be configured in other modes such as access point/repeater/etc), depending on your ISP and setup. If unsure, login to the TPLink router and check what is the mode configured.

In general, any devices you want to add in the network would need to be after the router.

I just got a memo from M1 to upgrade. They quoted me $47/mth for mesh. Good deal?

Not possible la. My maisonette will definitely have dead spots with a single router (even if it’s the most ex one). Esp 2nd floor toilets.

And one single router will not be able to get 5ghz everywhere. I would want to be on 5ghz all the time and particularly anal about Low speed. Still finding the ideal solution for it.
a mesh network solution would help u.. i am constantly able to get AC wifi across every edge of my house now

I would say its quite worth.. considering that (47-39(usual price)) *24 u are paying only 192 for the mesh setup which is normally worth above 250

But they don't help with the installation. Is it easy to setup?
