has anyone tried to make power banks like Yoobao and Anker work with surface?

the problem is the charging head

I think unless u can get a USB charging head that is like surface pro, I think very tough. Wonder whether those folks at Sim Lim tower can do it?

i think there's a output difference from our usual power banks right?
ie: powerbank outputs 5V? but surface takes in 12V?

Got my surface pro 2 from ebay, arrived about a week ago, 2 days after ordering, very fast

one strange problem though, if you rub your hand along the edges of the back, you can feel the electricity
but i guess it's inevitable since the back is made of a conductible material

I have a surface RT and I feel it too. Especially since I have sweaty palms.

I'm using SP1 and it gives out that strange electricity. Its more obvious when I'm charging SP1. Not obvious when not charging. :|

Sigh.... tempted to change to SP2. argh!!!

My SP1 has this issue too during charging. This not just happen on my tablet but also some of my devices that has metallic case, like my Fiio E17.

Don't think SP2 will solve the problem. I got a case for my SP1 so not a real issue to me.

heard about the electric shock issue since the pro 1.
somehow, luckily for me i've not encountered it yet.
which was a super relief because i can almost certainly get static shocks even just by touching railings, door knobs and metal framed structures lol.

some further user experience after using for a couple of days.

been using it as my main device, replacing my lenovo ideapad laptop.
battery life is wonderful, lasts my about 5+hrs on wordprocessing/excels, internet browsing and about 1hr of video in between.

thank god, i got the 8gb/256gb version. coz i don't think i could've lived with anything lesser as i had been used to the same ram and capacity in my lenovo.

screen quality wise, it's really good and pleasing on the eyes, but comes with a slight disadvantage...lol, i've to upgrade some of the video quality of shows i got (coz the video files were of lower quality than 720p. watching on a higher quality display really shows up the imperfections.)

screen size wise for me it's a slight compromise. size is really good for mobility. only drawback is when i do my programming, i have to utilize the display port out to my 32".

when i finally get the power cover, it would become a truly all day device.

when u utilize the mini displayport to hdmi on your tv,do u experience flickering?

i get flickering when i do it to my 42" tv.I thought it was hdmi cable problem but after changing it i still get the flickering problem

by the way i am using Apple mini displayport to hdmi cable,i think it can also be used for surface pro right

hmm, no flickering problem on mine.
by right as long as mini display adapter, should be alright.
i did have to figure out setting the resolution on the tv though.
the windows 8.1 display resolution is damn lousy. some resolutions cannot even set. it detected 1280x768, whereas it should have 720. ended up i had to go to desktop mode's display settings under control panel to do the settings.

same as before application. don't feel any difference.

to me, i feel it's well worth it.
using the same korean clasy brand of tempered glass as my note 3 protector.
been very happy with it for clear, lasting protection while easy to wipe.
this brand considered is not as expensive as those branded ones already.

Perhaps it is because you have a surface 2, for me that price is almost 10 percent the cost of my device!

Ermm... I did mine at Funan for 18 bucks. And, it didn't affect the touch screen and the screen sensitivity. Its clear gloss. No privacy sorta film.

No flickering for my SP1. Same issue with the resol. On the tv, it looks like the resol setting wrong liao.

Did you manage to book the power cover from MS store in the US? All out of stock liao. :|
