I did not receive a call from them yet. Preordered last Aug 3. Digital style at Suntec. Funny that the lady i talked to just now needs to confirm first with office. Btw, the stocks are already on hand accdg to her. Odd!

I just called the preorder retailer and they told me i5 stocks are in, but not i7. They are waiting for green light from MS before they can release the stocks to us.

So i guess we gotta wait til tomorrow uh.

True. Actually I preorder due to the $100 rebate that can be applied to the keyboard. If not, I won't bother.

Got a call back and the staff tells me collection is Sept 1 after COMEX. Are they kidding me? Of course I told them I only preordered so I can get it on launch day. Why bother, I should have just bought at COMEX! Even had the right to say nobody from them committed such date. Of course I didn't shout and swear when talking to them, but definitely agitated. I also told them some people already got a call for collection tomorrow. The staff will "try" if I can get one earlier than Sept 1. Crazy

That should be the right way to do things but knowing these companies:

profit > customers

Newstead is really big. They have at least 5 shops in Funan with different names. I think notebook.com also part of them so they are literally everywhere.

Got another call. Staff told me stock may come in Friday or if possible, Thursday evening. In the midst of me complaining nicely, with magic, all stocks just came in the door!
