Haha I think they should have a non-keyboard cover! Like it attaches via the same magnet at the same place but only serves as a cover rather than a keyboard! So that I won't feel bad damaging the cover

On a different note, dropped by SP3 today in the supplied carrying case and now one of the sides is slightly bent

Fits well with the Surface Pro Type Cover. It even have a elastic band to "hold" the cover in place. Very well thought out.

Don't worry about the nib, just call Microsoft and they will send you replacement nib very fast using Fedex.. I call them and ask for one, arrived through Fedex in big envelope, inside got just 1 nib... MS wasted money doing that instead of sending me few nibs or include them in the first place..

Matt surface, this will make the stylus feels like you are writing like a eraser feeling, I used it before. Just telling you, and it will wear the nibs of the stylus as well.

Buy MS complete warranty.. Next time you dropp again till screen cracked and cannot use, activate accidental replacement to get replacement unit by paying $200+ if not wrong...

bro, afterall, I might be ordering this from amazon, together with the sculpt comfort mouse.

note: bought sculpt comfort mouse online, the rubber sides is a bit sticky; you may wish to try the actual mouse at retail shops locally first, to see if you are used to it

anyway i ordered the mouse from amazon cheap, and will be sending it back through 65daigou. it's cheaper than the local MS RRP? ordered a bluetooth dongle for my HTPC as well

as for keyboard, i'll be getting the MS mobile keyboard 6000, 2nd hand though.

Yeah makes it heavy but never measure cos weight is no concern for me. Protection is what I'm after.

any1 tried removing the pen loop after attaching to the keyboard? does the adhesive leave a mark?

i supposed it will. but there are numerous DIY method to remove adhesive mark.

BTW, I just got the minidisplay port to DVI/DP/HDMI port from Qoo10.

works great and it's fun to use it in extended mode with a 23 inch monitor.

i foresee the retirement of my desktop is near.

How did u ask huh? I called and they say atm they don't sell replacement nibs...

I realised my nib started wearing out once I used photoshop. Photoshop on sp3 is really a pleasure to use!
