can't wait for the SP4 announcement so I can get a used surface pro 2 for cheaper to try out. oddly i havent seen much people letting it go so far.

rumour that the SP4 comes in 12" - 14" ...
which i think might be too big/heavy as a tablet if you are the type that brings it along everywhere..

i think the S3 at 10" is probably more suitable for the above usage.
unless they come out with a "surface mini"..haha

if the price drop for s3 uponn the launch of SP4. it might be a good entry point.

Ended up going to Sim Lim Sq instead as have done errands to run. Got a tempered glass protector for $35 and transparent jewel skin for the back for $16.90, both from this shop "E-Power" on the 4th floor. Total for $50, a $1.90 discount.

Found the solution for future forumer who encounter the same problem. Go to their surface customer service and speak to their live cso. They'll deliver the replacement pen nibs foc. Meanwhile you can steal the pen nib from the display set of any store lol

The Surface RT can't even be compared to the Surface 3. It's not even an even level comparison.

Anybody has experience going down to Kallang to do 1-to-1 exchange?

Supposed to go there to exchange my faulty keyboard but then the phone number given cannot even be called through Also a bit sian that they will be giving me a refurb set rather than a new set haha. My keyboard still in pretty good condition, just that the Control key suddenly died zzz.

Try online support, they arranged for a courier to collect my keyboard from me when I told them about my faulty keyboard today

What was your arrangement like?

They offered to come down to collect but then no on the spot replacement. They will bring back and process then send down a working one a few days later

Is that the same arrangement? Or you managed to get them to come down in one trip? And is it one-to-one exchange or they just pass you a new one?

Impossible to do 1 to 1 exchange on the spot. The courier will have to collect your faulty device and send you a replacement a few days later.

was thinking of going malaysia to get one set of surface due to exchange rates, but seems like pricing is the same as in singapore.

i think the battery life is around 4ish hour for sp1, the ivy bridge cpu isnt that energy efficient. i can easily get 6 hours on my sp3 so you have to charge it more often

I was considering using it for work instead of my macbook pro for its lightweight but was apprehensive too like you.

If its for everyday tasks and productivity, it has no issues. Considering that I switched from a macbook pro, it's really not bad.

However, I would advise against it for gaming or video editing as from reviews, not that i have tried :S

Hello,

Does anyone else have a problem with their SP3 screen where there's a nice little "circle" on the screen that appears all the time despite you trying to clean it over and over again?

It's like a huge imprint from the base of a cup, quite hard to miss. Well, not that I place my cup on the surface screen
