Wow! Didn't know it could play dota 2 too. Any options on how to get the pro 2 in Singapore?

no local release date announced yet, have to wait :(

or if you have more money to spend you can get it online from stores and have it sent to singapore through a company like vpost

i am using it as a drawing tablet, play some dota, so far so good. Since you not gaming it should be fine. Its able to watch 1080p videos too. Quite a powerful machine. The main shortfall is the pathetic low battery life of less than 4hrs. :(

Seem like Pro2 is much better as it has longer battery life.

Wow dota you are a patient person the screen resolution...:s13: for me is no way... too tiny... but for others windows applications this seems to be one of the best windows tablet build quality. Especially the internal specs.

I think we need wait for them to ship their excess inventory here and clear stock once the Broadwell update comes for SP3, like what they did for Surface RT :vijayadmin: :vijayadmin:

If I buy a Surface Pro 2 from another country and it breaks down within a year, will it be covered by international warranty such that I can bring down to Microsoft Singapore for repairs?

Thanks,
AE

Don't think Microsoft singapore will honor the warranty. Anyway, no spare part or replacement set since they don't sell pro 2 in sg.

Warranty is covered to any country that sells surface. Once SG sells Pro2, warranty shouldn't be a problem. I think they still don't do repairs locally so chances are they will just make a replacement like what happened to my US bought surface rt.

Patience........but interestingly I don't know what is their strategy.....even apple that sells like hit cakes can supply the whole world with sufficient iPads. Wonder what is wrong with Microsoft supply chain to face a shortage problem? How many surface pro 2 did they exactly sell to result in worldwide shortage?

Probably strategy is to let us clear stock? If I were them, I will just sell existing surface pro at $699 and phase in new series.

“Windows RT is dead” - "The confusion comes about because Microsoft has announced plans to consolidate its APIs for Windows across the board, so that developers who write Windows apps can target phones, tablets, and PCs with relatively minor changes in code."

"RT" is dead, they rename it Surface 2.

MS got burnt with oversupply of Surface, prompting a USD$900m writedown.

No wonder this time they're cautious. However, Surface Pro 2 IS what many people want. I'm standing by to bring in from the states. My laptop is dying soon.
