Prices are actually out on MS Singapore's store:

Core i3, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage - S$1108
Core i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage - S$1348
Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage - S$1,728
Core i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage - S$2,138
Core i7, 8GB RAM, 512GB storage - S$2,698

Says preorders will be shipped by 31 August...

Looks like a viable concept considering MS defied rumors of going small and competing in Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 range instead.

I'll just wait for display units to hit stores before making up my mind... Considering a tablet/laptop hybrid to bring to school. But oh that price... Doesn't include accessories as always.

Yea man.. at 1k+ most ppl can make do with a netbook with spare change.. like i said, the SP3 is not really targetted at the mass market.. they r looking at e business and professionas market.

SP3 does nt really meet the requirements of a normal mass market. But still, i m willimg to wait for it and see hw it goes

I think we can forget about the SP2 making its way here.

They would need to price the SP2 at a lower price than the SP3 if they did launch it here and that would be undercutting their OEMs.

No can do.

According to WPCentral, Microsoft will offer the Surface Pro 3, which is believed to be a larger device with a 12-inch screen, in the following configurations:

Core i3, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage - $799
Core i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage - $999
Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage - $1,299
Core i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage - $1,549
Core i7, 8GB RAM, 512GB storage - $1,949

My eyes went O.O

Pricing for the I5 8gb 256 storage config like very close to SP2. With the 12 inch, price seems quite competitive. Just my view. The I7 is quite crazy though, in terms of pricing....

Most importantly is that its coming to Singapore. Better than SP2 which had never landed in Singapore officially. :|

Here my point of view since we are talking about SP 2 I think u can forget it, they are already on schedule
to release here in SG end of August for SP 3 . Further more that pricing list is totally outrageous if I
want to compare with other brands , if MS wants to get back it market share not only have to fight with
Apple.
First thing is the price must be lower if u going to fight with Android tablets. That SP 3 price is more aims
at business class level or enterprises companies willing to pay that kind of price. Than comes to
consumers buying level would anyone willing to spend that kind of money, hey my Samsung Note 10.1
also can do office work so what the whole point of buying this kind of $$$$..crazy.

SP3 is meant to fight MBA. There are already plenty of cheaper 10 inch BayTrail tablets running full Windows 8 by the other OEMS if the purpose is just to run Office.

Can you recommend some of the oem models? I'm definitely not going for Microsoft product anymore.
