Yup. Still not as food as a student discount though...
imo macbook air is an ultrabook, sp3 is a tablet with a pretty solid engineered detachable keyboard, yoga pro is a laptop that you can fold into a tablet. price points are all rather different as well. It's more of what you need I feel.
which is better macbook air or sp3 or lenovo yoga pro 3?? any advise?

I'm left handed so the part where the keyboard connects is where my arm touches.

I am starting to regret buying SP3
1) Buy external dvd rw cannot detect
2) Google map cannot really use..i cannot swipe left and right on the screen (eg. from Singapore, I want to swipe left towards Europe...cannot.
3) Apps sooooooo little....
4) Buy the stupid USB hub cannot use...
1) the tablet's usb port is underpowered as compared to a laptop. you can get a y-cable usb port, with 1 usb port connected to a phone adapter charger.
2) i don't think there is a dedicated google maps app for windows 8. btw, the native map app allow you to swipe, as of i am trying it now.
3) no comment
4) why is it that it can't work? i have a ac powered usb hub and it's working with a ethernet port, a thumbdrive and a external hdd connected to it, without the need to turn on the hub ac power supply.
You solve my number one problem...I used the charging port from the charging adapter!
aha! now we know why there is a usb port on the charger unit itself! haha

Do anyone of you do static IP for your SP3?
I'm having problem getting my port open for my BitComet.
Tried doing static ip and port forwarding both ethernet and wifi, but can't seem to open the port.
Any idea?
it could be your windows firewall or antivirus firewall blocking it. you might want to try using utorrent
