Yesterday night charged fully then off the power, this morning start to use at around 8.30 am....by 11.30am battery already less then 10%, just normal surfing net without not even 4 hrs ?? far away from 9 hrs as they claim, if can last 6 hrs i am ok but only 3 hrs...

I minus about 20% per hour. Brightness on the highest level just before they say "your brightness is affecting battery life"-etc
Wifi on, bluetooth on. I'm sure gps is on or something. When i am doing desktop work, 2hour 40% is norm. light usage is 10%/hr which is approaching the 9hour battery life claim

ya i think ur battery have some problem mine can last around 6hours or so normal usage watch youtube videos etc

You're not using Firefox or Chrome right? Those things will halve your battery life.

You should use IE until Google fixes the battery drain issue. I not sure if Mozilla will ever fix theirs.

With the announcement of new Broadwell Mobile processors, hoping for Surface 4 release to follow soon. Would run cooler and last longer. Perhaps slightly bigger in size too. Will be an opportunity for me to upgrade from Pro 1 which is still going strong.

yupp looking forward to what microsoft can do on the next iteration of the surface pro line. maybe slimmer devices since new broadwell cpus doesnt need cooling system! will for sure come at a price though
