MOBO+CPU: MSI H97 GAMING 3 + i5 4660
RAM:CORSAIR VENGENCE PRO 1600MHz 8GB
SSD: SAMSUNG 250GB 850 EVO
HDD: WD 1TB BLUE
GPU: MSI GTX970 TWIN FROZR GAMING
PSU: SUPER FLOWER LEADEX GOLD 650W
CASING: Fractal Design R5 Titanium Window
Monitor : DELL U2515H 2560X1440P

initially I plan for GTX980Ti, but I decide cut back some budget for my holiday travel. but i will upgrade to GTX980Ti or TITAN X by early next year. but not sure 650W PSU enough for TITAN X or not? do i need a more powerful PSU?

welcome all idea and thanks!

Since you upgrading again why waste some much money? Just get the cheapest 970 you can find.

Else get a 960.

i may get a cheaper 970, but not 960. i still want to play my GTA5, NBA2K15 with high setting.
but for a cheaper 970, when I sell out as second hand it's also cheaper:s13:

1080p not for GTX980Ti and TITAN X.

You want the card or you want the fps? I don't think there is any tangible gain going from 1080p to 1440p...
Then again your choice la what you decide to get. Personally feel that 1080p is enough. Saves you money from getting a better gpu... And at higher resolution, high tier gpu takes a great hit when there's a generation update. Not to mention there are rumours that nvidia Pascal is coming soon...so IMO 980ti is either now, or never.
