Thanks Sinkie, yes gap is indeed to big, but somehow wonder if the gap will be closed so soon. Let's wait and see.

Recently one of their placement exercise was cancelled but still show strength holding above the gap. It's quite fishy if you ask me. Is either way but I favor the fill gap

now profit-taking ba, i cant really see what the next move, must wait for it to accumulate again

hwa-hong nav is 29c, now trading above it, i dont see it as undervalued

dvsv say expected to report a loss
DBSV - Hwa Hong Corp is expected to report a loss for 4Q11,
mainly due to (i) lower rental revenue, (ii) lower profit from
trading of investment securities (iii) lower gain from
disposal of RiverGate apartments and (iv) higher allowance
for impairment losses on investment securities.

The Directors of Hwa Hong Corporation Limited (the “Company”) wish to issue a profit warning
regarding the financial results of the Company and its subsidiaries (the “Group”) for the fourth quarter
ended 31 December 2011 and for the financial year ended 31 December 2011.
The Group is expected to report a loss for the fourth quarter ended 31 December 2011 compared with
a profit for the corresponding period in 2010 mainly due to (i) lower rental revenue due to
refurbishment works on a residential property in the UK and our warehouse in Paya Lebar (ii) lower
profit from trading of investment securities (iii) lower gain from disposal of RiverGate apartments due
to a more cautious market following the introduction of additional buyers’ stamp duty by the Singapore
Government and (iv) higher allowance for impairment losses on investment securities.
For the above-mentioned reasons, the Group is expected to report a significant decline in profit for the
full year ended 31 December 2011 as compared with the corresponding period in 2010 but the Group
will remain profitable for the full year ended 31 December 2011.
This profit warning is based on a preliminary review of the unaudited financial results of the Group.
Further details of the Group’s performance will be disclosed when it releases its unaudited financial
results for the full year ended 31 December 2011 in early February 2012.
In the meantime, the Directors of the Company wish to advise shareholders and investors to exercise
caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.

Hwa Hong to sell insurance unit for $95m
MOU signed for sale of Tenet Insurance; CIMB Bank named financial adviser

By CONRAD TAN

HWA Hong Corporation has signed a non-binding agreement to sell its general insurance unit Tenet Insurance Company for $95 million in cash.

Proposed sale is subject to further due diligence investigations on Tenet and negotiations, and signing of a definitive sale- and-purchase agreement.

Hwa Hong said yesterday that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding with an unnamed buyer to sell its entire stake in Tenet, but added that the agreement is non-binding and that there is no guarantee the deal will be completed.

Based on Tenet's audited net asset value of $52 million at end-2008, Hwa Hong said that it expects to gain $43 million on the sale if it takes place at the stated price. It has not yet decided what to do with the proceeds from the sale if it is completed.

Hwa Hong's other businesses include property rental, investment and development; chemical trading; and packing and trading of edible oils. According to its website, the group has subsidiaries in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, mainland China, the United Kingdom and the British Virgin Islands.

The insurance business contributed some $41 million, or just over half, of the group's $80.2 million revenue last year, according to Hwa Hong's 2008 annual report.

Tenet, which offers general insurance such as property, personal accident, medical, travel and motor insurance for individuals and businesses, has changed names more than once. According to its website, it was founded in 1957 as The People's Insurance Company (PIC), and was bought by Hwa Hong in the 1980s.

In 1997, US-listed Hartford Financial Services Group bought a 49 per cent stake in PIC for US$20 million, and the firm was renamed The Hartford Insurance Company (S). But in 2002, Hwa Hong re-acquired Hartford Financial's stake in the insurer and gave it its current name, Tenet Insurance Company.

Yesterday, Hwa Hong said that the proposed sale is subject to further satisfactory due diligence investigations on Tenet and negotiations, as well as the signing of a definitive sale-and-purchase agreement.

Hwa Hong added that besides the substantial gain it stands to earn on the sale, it believes the proposed divestment 'may be beneficial to the future development and prospects of Tenet'.

If a definitive agreement is reached, Hwa Hong will convene a meeting of its shareholders for them to vote on the sale, it added.

'The board would like to caution that there is no assurance that any transaction will materialise from the non-binding MOU or that the S&P agreement will be entered into,' it said. 'Shareholders and investors are therefore advised to exercise caution in their dealings in the shares.'

The proposed divestment will comprise the sale of Tenet's entire issued share capital - comprising 44.65 million ordinary shares held by Hwa Hong Corp and its wholly owned subsidiary Hwa Hong Capital - as well as 10,000 redeemable, non-cumulative, preference shares issued by Tenet.

The sale price of $95 million is subject to adjustment based on Tenet's net tangible assets at the date of completion of the divestment, Hwa Hong said.

CIMB Bank has been appointed Hwa Hong's financial adviser on the proposed sale.

Trading in Hwa Hong shares, which was halted from 9.45am yesterday pending the announcement, resumes on Monday. The shares last changed hands at 44 cents each.

Geo Energy

Geo look like breakdown to me liao.... gonna retest 55-55.5c again unless Jim Rogers has something to say.

Of course a pull back towards the 20ma might also be played out since it sort of already hit the bollinger lines. We might see it go back to 58.5-59c again where my 2 EMAs are... but it did happen on friday (intraday) after the selling hit the low n rebounded.

Too risky to long for me....

Looks set to retest 55.5c... breaking that.. hopefully the 50ma can lend support at 51.5-52c.... if not, we are looking at 49c again?

Not vested

MONTHLY chart shows a double bottom bullish divergence.... but it hasn't even crossed the 20Mma line... also nowhere near the double bottom neckline...

$1 possible? yes...
by 2013? maybe 2018 more likely (if haven't gone bust)...:s13:
