Some parts are blurred/blocked off so can't see if it is still the same "150" trick. Look like they upped their game.

Anyway, the part about the camp being "restricted" area and that "external vendors" cannot access so only can self collect.......anyone who has done guard duty before would know that it is simply untrue. I see gardenia van, seafood supplier van and so many others arrive early in the morning. Even blardy london choco roll van also have before.

And who the hell adds MR in addition to the rank? What the hell is "manager of procurement office"?

You can easily guess they are foreigners or very young have not ns yet, and they don't have a very clear picture of army.

Yea I was also thinking what else can mindef do? The scammer is not in reality from mindef.

In my view, This whole incident has nothing to do with mindef except someone else anyhow use their name to scam others.

Not much I can do if other people anyhow use my name to scam people also? I can only report police.

the mastermind is probably laughing at how gullible Singaporeans are and enjoying the millions pocketed from the scams. same as victims from other Asian countries.

we need some global superpower (and certainly not the country where most of these scammers come from ) to step in, up their covert ops in this area to hunt down these scamming 'hubs' and give them a "good one" to teach them a lesson. maybe 杀一儆百.

maybe need to wait till more westerners to become victims before more effective measures will be taken by superpowers to send their elites forces to start doing something.

really pity those victims - losing their life savings, hard earned money, etc.

err... u mean low in their own land? these are syndicates operating overseas, e.g. in Cambodia, or even in Taiwan and Malaysia where detection is low.

perhaps when it comes to SG, we can put the blame on those telcos for not doing enough to screen / filter those calls or not having the technology to prevent scammers from exploiting fake numbers.
