do you want to consider to mount it on the back of your monitor ? I think it comes with the bracket too.
Was thinking this too. He's not using a monitor arm so using the VESA holes to mount the tinyPC makes sense. Much neater. If he goes full wireless keyboard/mouse, it's a very neat desk setup.

Deliberately not mounting it behind the monitor even though I use a wireless keyboard and mouse... need to use the USB port regularly to plug in USB flash drives...

Thinking of connecting the Creative Stage Air V2 via Bluetooth... not sure if the sound quality difference is significant or not... using USB now... thinking of swapping cos not enough USB ports in the rear with soundbar, and keyboard with mouse, still need one more for the HDD enclosure which is plugged in the front now... not sure if the rear USB port will be fast enough cos it's 2.0 but the front is 3.0...

Got everything up and running without a hitch.... the speed of execution is light years ahead of my old desktop... almost instant loading of webpages, MS Office 2021 runs almost instantly... and Windows 11 runs very smoothly... amazing for something so tiny... some pictures...

Simply amazing something so tiny can be so powerful...

With soundbar...

Added my Samsung 850 EVO SSD SATA 3.0 without a hitch... detected immediately and formatted in disk management...

The Orico HDD enclosure also runs without a hitch... really fast via the front USB 3.0 port...

That's all for now...
What is the spec of your old pc?

I don't really remember the specifics now... but it was an Intel Core i5 - old enough that I could not update my OS to Windows 11... it was specifically the CPU that failed the Windows check... the mobo was a Gigabyte branded one that ran an old LGA socket? I also had an old Radeon graphics card - also don't know the model but it wasn't a powerful one to begin with... started with 4 x 4GB PC-3200 DDR3 RAM but it dwindled down only to 2 x 4GB eventually... and I had a Samsung 850 EVO SSD running Windows 10 Home... will check when I get back... but not sure if I can find out anymore...

One other thing I noticed is that my internet downloads seem to be much faster... I downloaded a 42 GB MS Office image after buying one of those licensed copies on Shopee... I got it in minutes, I think literally 5 min or less... my internet connection and home network is totally untouched... 1 Gbps Starhub Fibre Broadband running direct from a Linksys EA8100 router in the hall via a Cat 6e cable to another Linksys EA8100 router set up as an access point in my study and my mini PC is connected via another Cat 6e cable to this second router... my old system would have taken at least 2-3 times the amount of time... quite amazing... you don't know what you're missing until you experience it... heh!

Just want to ask if these remaining parts from my old desktop got any use or not? Want to give away on Carousell but not sure if useful or not...

Kingston 2 x 4GB PC-3200 DDR3 RAM... seems to be good still...

Xigmatek Stealth Vector 2 750 W PSU
The PSU still got box + receipt + unfilled warranty card (lol!)... 5 year warranty from Corbell... 2017 vintage... still working well though...

Thanks!

yup still in demand by diy parts replacement/upgrade, most are bundling up to resell as a whole pc. Some builders are also building some older gen for the less fortunate family kids too

Found out that the mobo was a Gigabyte B85M-D3H (LGA1150 socket)... 2017 vintage... graphics card was a Gigabyte Radeon 3000 series PCI-e... pretty antiquated by today's standard... hahaha...

Check Amazon SG. Beelink GTR5 with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, 32GB RAM and 500GB SSD (OS included) going for 779 SGD. Thats SGD 999 with 220 bucks discount coupon. I am not sure about warranty, but it is a very good deal to me.

It's $647 now. Damn value for money

Here

Beelink GTR5 Mini PC Wi11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX (up to 4.6GHz), Mini Gaming Computer 32GB DDR4 500GB NVMe SSD, Mini Desktop Computer 4K@60Hz Three Screen Display WiFi 6E BT5.0

Yes it is if you're in the market for something so powerful... otherwise it's almost $647 - 396 = $251 more expensive than what I bought...
