For either G4 or X5, or any android box for that matter ... is it possible to password protect the entire system?
I have kaypoh siblings you see![]()
WAH !! So many post now. 3 weeks since I post only
@nats7798, yeah their cloud iptv free trial can stream. But around 10mins or so you'll have to stop and stream again. Quite troublesomeBut then, still worth it to try
@ SX1man, try using ICS instead of jellybean. Might solve some problems I guess.
ROOT = jailbreak like iphone. FYI.
What the heck! I received an email that my order was cancelled by Aliexpress "for security reasons", and that funds have not been deducted by Aliexpress. Damned. I wonder what happened. Hope I've not been scammed.
Anyone share which vendor in Aliexpress they bought from?

HAPPY HEALTHY 2013 New Year

dx.com carries it, is it the cheapest?

zhchiam, did u receive any further reason for the cancellation by Aliexpress? I am about to order from the same vendor recommended by coyote and others.
not sure about password protection for whole system (just unplug and keep the device if the data is that sensitive or keep data on removable MSD!) but you can install app lockers that require password for the apps to run
Hi
The reason Aliexpress gave for cancelling my order was "security reasons". I think they are worried about identity theft or fraud. First time I encounter internet order being cancelled after payment. Nothing to do with the vendor selling on Aliexpress, it's Aliexpress problem. They asked me to provide copy of passport/ID, credit card evidence etc to prove that the credit card belongs to me. They must be nuts to think I'll provide my details to a China website.
I called my credit card company and was told the money is on hold, will be refunded if seller does not claim the payment within 10 working days. I'm waiting to see how it turns out.
I'll probably buy from GeekBuying.com later on, they accept paypal, and I feel more assured using paypal.
Cheers.
I only use paypal for online purchases unless there's really no choice and it is a well-known trusted company like Amazon. Will never use credit card for Aliexpress companies - who knows if they are fake and set up just to collect credit card data?
Sounds like a sweeping statement... Any online transaction carries risk. There is no gurantee that vendors peddling their goods at amazon will deliver...
If you don't like the risk of online shopping, then get from local vendors at higher price.
While I share the sentiment of dealing with china sellers a risk. Local sites which sell online coupons are a bit risky as well.. look what happened to outlet.com.sg.. scammed money from users and just ran away like that..Sounds like a sweeping statement...
