MLM advice needed (lips lais ! )

So basically i joined this particular MLM company called ElusyfGlobal from recommendation(which is wad mlm is all about) by one of my secondary school friend. Not sure if any EDMW-er heard of or currently under this business.

Would need some thoughts and opinions on this MLM scheme such as the risk level, fraudulent investment tendency, prospect, etc.

I was brought to their company building at eunos area and was actually surprised to see alot(about 30) of young millenials ( some even in their 18s) being pitched by some of the executives to join the investments. I was then introduced to one of their "lao jiao"after which i felt things are too good to be true. To summarize, he went to elaborate many of the successes of the higher-up directors who started up as early as their early 20s. So he told me these successful people actually would rather forsake their local degree jobs to do this business( like dafuq?).

Yes he told me these top dogs are earning 10-15k a month easily.Some legit testimonials are many executives here are owning BMW and other fast cars which is rather impressive as they are in their early 20s. He actually drove me in his sedan to the atm to collect money after that. I felt even more skeptical as he tries even harder to convince me into the business

Soon after that, i was brought to a lecture or orientation on their business and the product they are selling which is basically anti-ageing product which cost about 350 SGD.

I was later introduced to many other executive to testify that this is a legit business and they themselves own another business outside from the experience they gained from ElusyfGlobal. Oh i forgot to mention that the company actually held classes to train young businessman and marketers for free. I was persuaded to put in 1050 SGD which is the minimum to start the pyramid and i would get a package of the anti ageing product to tryout and testify. Also i would get a % of the commission for bringing people into my team and sales.

Overall, the people here are all young, driven, friendly and nice businessman and women. But however i rather would be prudent and ask EDMW forum for some advice before venturing deeper into the MLM company.

And btw i am a 19 y o poly student.

wouldnt say that MLM is a scam but it is not for everyone.

ElusyfGlobal actually started out from Long Fa International where their main product was the detox pills (bai tu mei yuan bao) and there was a period where LFI was very active and popular but has since died down. The boss of the company is a Singaporean Eldee Tang I believe and it is hard to find a MLM company with a Singaporean boss.

A lot of people joined LFI last time because it was a SG based company and there were promises of expanding overseas ( hey, why join AMWAY and let ppl in the US earn, why not start in SG and earn the $$ from US ppl? ). well they did try to expand overseas but did not manage to do so well I think

Some of the ppl there did indeed put off their degree education for a few years and did the business. Some did well and did not need the degree anymore, while some failed , just like anything else in life.

If you treat it as a place to gain exposure and see people from all walks of life, its an ok place to be in. But if you treat it as a money making opportunity, then you are likely going to be disappointed unless you really like sales

Last thing to note... you dont have to pay 1050 SGD to start off in that company. All you need to do is to pay the membership fee which is less than 20SGD (50SGD at most). That is just a way for them to make sales

Look, every MLM is dodgy to one degree or another. Some are outright ponzis; some are just all about the aggressive sales tactics and making you sell overpriced crap to your friends. Either way, they're not a good way to get people to like you; they're not a good way to learn sales techniques; and they're not going to make you rich.

Well, you've just bought the most expensive anti-aging cream you'll ever buy. Why do you need anti-aging cream when you're in your teens anyway?

Yeah, this is where the red flags should go off. What they're selling you is the MLM scheme, not the actual product.

MLM is always a bad idea. Always. I had family members who dabbled in a couple of these schemes. They don't make money, unless you treat them like a full-time job, and even then it's not likely to actually make you any money. All they do is annoy the people you try to sell stuff to. Get a real job instead.

I went there with my gf last year to listen to her ex sec sch junior talk. They tried to sell her the anti ageing products at first, and after they sensed that we weren't going to part with the money, they tried to scale down to the 1050 package which includes the platform for you to conduct e-commerce. They also have 'data' to show that e-commerce is the way to go in future etc.

As I told my gf, the company name itself Elusyf doesn't provide much comfort in the first place. Sounds elusive lol

All in, I would suggest that you stay away from this if you want to maintain your friendships with your friends

Also just remember that you can get a full refund on the products which have not been opened and still in their original packaging as long as refunded within 7 days, 50% refund or less if after dono how many days but within a certain period of time if you do decide to back out

I actually invested 200$ into it. They didn't give me any product so i doubt i could take back my initial deposit ): jin jiak sad eat ginna hard earn money

got receipt or anything to prove that you paid $200?

no receipt , no product, etc...wtf ask the fren who brought u down.. after all it is just a "deposit"

An account was set-up with credits in it to claim. I am not totally sure as im just a freshie in their system. Probably going to group up with my friends and seek a refund together.

Were you able to withdraw? 1050$ isnt a simple sum of moneh. They didnt even give me time to ask my father for permission. They said like "do you have a bf? Your dad knows?" So i said no. Then they said "then hide from your dad like how you hide the fact you have a bf" but like, a person and money is totally different?!

I hope you know what you did and you experience. Cause i really want to get back the 1k i gave them.

be firm. the key is be firm and confident u want your money back.
mlm 10 yrs ago is the same as mlm now, if u are firm and want ur money back, they eventually will refund u because they dont want a big hoo-haa in the end.

if they really drag too long, then make a big hoo-ha with the person who introduced u in.....

they have to refund u even if u have gotten the products as long as you haven't opened them and that they are still in their original packaging, within 7 days.

if u feel u alone are unable to be firm and feel pressurized by them, try to ask another friend along or even your parents

There are better ways to do sales than MLM which is always a shady business.

At least if it's ppty or insurance agents, you can ask them in details, scrutinize the policies and actually have an idea(though most people never go through scrutinising) of what you are getting.

MLM is almost always lacking in details, clarity and how they operate until you join them and realise it's not what you think it is.
