m1 mbb user here.
lately, i've been receiving smses thru the sim card from totally unknown people.
"what's your name?"
"long time never hear from you liao"
and some other funny smses
didnt bother to call or 'entertain' them cos they're not disrupting my usage
but just wondering, is it becos m1 recycles old numbers?!?! i not sure, just saying out loud![]()
Yeah it's normal for old nos to be recycled no matter what telco. otherwise new nos will run out very fast. Especially for mobile broadband think confirm recycled de since most ppl won't use for calls/sms..
Yes, even mobile subscriptions is also recycled numbers, typically takes about 2 years before the numbers will be taken out to be used again. But recently all providers release the old numbers out within 6 months.are you sure??? i mean if it's for something like mbb, it's ok lah.
but they also recycle for their new mobile subscriptions?? if not, it's like short-changing the customers. scary/irritating to recieve calls from random pple..

StarHub users in the Boon Lay area, there were some reports last year that SH customer service claimed that the area's network/infrastructure would be upgraded by the end of 09... any improvements?
Hi bros. Need recommendations.
I thinking of getting a mobile broadband but not sure which ISP to get from.
I am leaning towards M1 cause quite some good feedback on it.
If i want to stream youtube videos and do normal web surfing and facebook, is 1mbps enough or need 2mbps and above? Please advice thanks!
Area is serangoon, bukit timah area, Ngee ann poly area.
Actually thought of getting 4mbps with mifi to put inside my bag.
After 50percent, i still can get 25percent off meaning it will be around 19bucks per month rather than 2mbps.
Advisable?

Hmm i got 2 m1 mobile phone line right now. So meaning to say if i sign up for mobile broadband, only my 2 phone gets the discount and not 2 phone line and 1 mobile bb? Darn.
Yea waiting for PC Show to get 50percent hopefully.
Anyway i made this price comparision. May be wrong cause i used 25percent on the mobile broadband line. 4mbps and above i added mifi.

Wah when did they effect this? Quietly quietly one eh... bugger. ;p
Now my 3 M1BB lines lose the 25% discount.
I don't think till end of contract, should be until you cancel the MBB line or you recontract it then the Multi-line saver on the MBB will be withdrawn.Around mid april lo when M1 advertise that FBB will be included in discount tier as a service to increase mobile lines discounts. But no worries bro as existing mbb contracts signed b4 april will still enjoy the extra multi-line discounts till end of contract.
