I email goCoax and they replied when they post new stocks. I monitor their website n managed to order. They just said they still hv stocks at their plant. Check with them via email for stock updates.

Seems like all brands of MoCA 2.5 out of stock.

Maybe all of them are using IC from Maxlinear and is currently on allocation.

Hmm, the one Lon.TV reviewed is GoCoax MoCA 2.5 Network Extender.

Your link is different.
Translite MoCA 2.5 with 2 Gigabit Ethernet Ports - Ethernet Over Coaxial Adapter (Model: TL-MC84) (Set of 2).

Anyway, both are not available. And yes Translite model has the benefits of two gigabit port.

Sorry, my bad. Lon.TV reviewed both GoCoax unit and Translite unit.

coz of the trade war with trump Now china focusing on getting chips in their own country. if want good and cheap chips have to wait coz big manufacturers willing to pay more to overtake and control production line. that’s why increase an price and production lead time... Afiak, gocoax is not really making much money. They have to increase their price or not able to sustain...

MoCA 2.5 chips are very expensive. translite OEM is luster and their prices is not cheap.

Can anyone confirmed MOCA can only work with Integrated Circuit Splitter and Not with Ferite Cores Splitter?

Anyway, went ahead with the G.hn coaxial option since i don't plan to upgrade beyond my current 1Gbp/s broadband ... hard to max it out near 1gb and i figure if i can get anywhere near 400-600mbp/s, its a bonus from my 'average' 100mbp/s down to 60mbp/s when in my further rooms on mesh network.

I'll try to provide an FR once it arrives for those who are interested and dont' wanna wait for gocoax in case they're in similar position as me.

Further to my question asked earlier regarding this splitter that I've got. Need expert advice whether this particular splitter is acceptable or bad. The presence of a ferrite core, is it a cause for concern?

The ferrite core may not be a concern as long as the passband listed is still okay.

But I see two diodes which seems to be strange. Not so sure whether it will work or not.

Not an expert here but the following guide seems to be a good overview of Moca.

The worry from my side is that the two diodes make it a unidirectional splitter. From the online schematics of passive components based splitters, I do not see any diodes.

My HDB originally installed with 5-1000Mhz splitter. I'm still using it even though I bought 5-2400Mhz splitter.

So far so good, stable and fast for me.

My recent order from goCoax arrived yesterday which was fast.

Ask them via email when they will refresh their website with new stocks. That’s what I did to order and they said they have stocks in their warehouse.

Ordering directly from goCoax is faster but more ex shipping rate @ USD22.

I did a check if I were to ship within China (e.g. using ezbuy to ship back), still the charges is like USD18. Not much savings (maybe none) and hassle to do it with longer shipping time.

I think via Amazon SG, the delivery fees like S$9.xx (if I'm not wrong)
