Need some advice on my next steps.

Do I need to unplug the white incoming cable ?

you can unplug it if you want. not going to make any difference

I think 5.

3 in bedroom, 1 at living room and 1 at store room.

But my upcoming setup only link 2 points. Router at living room and wireless access point at 1 of the room.

With some courage after earlier message, I pryed open the box and finally see the splitter.

I realized that the existing splitter not MoCA friendly. Based on what I read so far, the splitter need to be 5-2300mhz range for MoCA to work properly. Looks like I need to hunt for some MoCA friendly splitter.

I'm referring to your SCV cable point box in your house. Open the box and you will find 2 way splitter. You can disconnect and connect your Moca adapter directly.

Since it is just 2 points, then i’d recommend get a female to female f-type adapter to connect 2 cables together. the power loss will be much lesser as compared to splitter.

That's only if I know which cable connect to which. A look at the cables doesn't have any labelling. Unless trial and error for various permutation.

My guess the 3 way splitter is for the 3 rooms while the 2 way splitter for living/store room.

You need to somehow connect those 2 different circuit together. You probably need 5 way splitter?

It's very likely that both MoCA is going to connect to the "Out" of Splitter. Hence, no issue to use Band D ext.

So basically remove the wall panel and remove the internal splitter to connect directly into the MoCA modem.

Errr. Not sure wifey gonna like that but that's an option. Anyway, already placed short RG6 cable and on the way to SG.

From what I've read regarding MoCA installation, if you want to disconnect and use the current splitter. You need to install the POE to the splitter.

If like my config, single cable from Starhub to 2 way splitter. I just disconnect the 2 cables from the splitter and joint them using "bullet" F-connector.

Hi all, just got my goCoax units. Setup was ok and was blazing fast compared with my homeplug.

However, I'm faced with intermittent internet loss. It was ok for few minutes and down for 1-2 minutes and repeat again. Seems like they are catching a breath.

Anybody encounter such issues ? I checked that internet is ok with main router.

Another point. My router default gateway is 192.168.50.1

So the MoCA default address when connected directly with a PC via ethernet is 192.168.254.254

I went into the MoCA admin page under static IP, should I change it to be similar to my router subnet (e.g. 192.168.50.88) ?

Won't the signal leak to elsewhere since there is no PoE filter at the main SCV splitter ?
