I connect an indoor digital antenna to one of the TV antenna box to connect FTA signal into the coax cable. Then i connect a digital TV to the antenna box in the other bedroom. Coax cable still got use.

wow i cant believe someone got the same idea as me and actually tried it. Happy to know that it works. because TV is quite far away from the window and its really difficult to get a good signal unless every few days we change the position of the antenna.

just look for a UK prong adapter with 12V and 0.5A or higher output using 5.5x2.1mm barrel connector.

now, my recent GoCoax MA2500D purchase from Amazon.sg comes with UK prong adapter. so maybe wait for your package to arrive before purchasing another adapter.

For reference: Recent MBR MoCa Upgrade from Powerline Adaptor:

At DB:

DB setup: Green arrow (data in), Red arrow (data out). Disconnected the main coming in and install the 75ohm termination caps (on unused ports) to reduce noise:

At MBR TV console:

Speedtest on 1G fiber:

Can i check if there is anything special that you did to achieve 1gbps? I setup one for my friend however the speedtest seem to cap at around 350-390mbps. PHY rates on the management UI shows 3500. We did not unplug the mains in part and put a termination cap because we cant find where it is in the Condo. Tried searching the DB box, there is nothing

I'm using the goCoax MA2500D. Didn't have to do anything special to achieve 900+Mbps speedtest result though. maybe try change the LAN cables.

Seems like after we removed the cable connecting from the outside to the 'IN' of the spliiter, the speed rose to 900mbps. Thanks

Anyone know how long can the in wall coax cables last? My resale flat built in 2011 has both Coax and cat 5e installed as telephone lines. Tested Moca it seems ok, but I wonder how's the quality of the cables after 10 over years?

A little hesitant to convert the phone lines to ethernet since 1) they terminate far away from the DB box, 2) one of the people who convert the phone to ethernet lines mentioned that after so long these cat 5e cables have already rusted.. Last time using ADSL after 10 years my ADSL had issues because Singtel claimed the cables have already rusted.

I do have the option of hacking the walls to put in ethernet cables because my place is currently being renovated.

if you can, ethernet cable is the best option.

12 year old flat is actually considered quite new. my current place is more than 20 years old, have no issue running MoCA over existing coax points.

Hi guys, wanted to replace my splitter which i presume its in the "SVC" Box inside my riser. but there was a key lock to the box. Will starhub come down to open the box for me because i want to use MoCa or is the splitter located somehwere else?

Hi,
I am actually undergoing renovation right now and am looking to keep the coaxial connection for moca in the future.

However, as I re positioning my TV socket positions, I have to buy a cable to extend the wirings. Can anyone advise what extension cable do I need?

Also, I can close up the FM port right? Having a really hard time to find the faceplates too

hi guys, my dbss flat has 2 3-way 5-1000mhz splitters inside the scv box. 1st splitter is the main in line, split to bomb shelter, living room, 2nd splitter. 2nd splitter splits to master bedroom, bedroom1, bedroom2.

I only need to moca my own bedroom to ethernet. am i able to just plug out the coaxial connector in the splitter from the scv box which connects to my bedroom and directly connect it to the moca adapter? Then i can directly connect the coaxial port in my room to the 2nd moca so it becomes a direct connection. does this work?
