so what is the normal rates uh? leaving on 3rd week and I have yet to change money... Change in hk better or sg?

the rates in HK is really bad. 5.xx the best one changer wanted to give me was $6. i withdraw cash from the atm instead. SBC gives a better rate but there's a handling fee of HKD50 if you do not have a HK account with them.

Forget about changing in HK. The currency is pretty bad here. Rate nw is 580-590+ for 100 sgd when I saw in hk airport this morning.

Very hard to predict exchange rate. When I changed a mth ago, it's like the current rate. Then after that, it kept going higher. You should be travelling soon right?

Too far for me to travel and if i factor in parking and erp, not worth the saving for me to go down. Am heading to the shopping beside Jurong East mrt later to check. Will post and share the rates tmr.

Date 13/4/12. Location : Victory Peak. Pls don't ever change at HK, the xchange rate is worst they selling at $581 hkd.

6.14 at the famous suntec Xchanger (i queued so long then realise it's at a lower rate. Feels cheated coz last time i got a higher rate there when i changed for won)
6.135 at the exchanger right opposite dunkin donuts in between suntec and raffles place shopping mall
6.14 the indian exchanger after the dunkin donuts
6.16 at the indian exchanger in suntec beside adidas (or was that nike) - it was 6.17 at first then 1 hr later became 6.16
