Hi, any idea if there is a limit for withdrawal? I tried using POSB atm card to withdraw and was limited to HKD1000 in Sep 2014.

if I'm not wrong it depends on the bank/atm u are drawing from..my limit i set was 2k but i can't draw that much for some reasons..haha

This one I'm not too sure. I think you can call up DBS to check... There should be a limit set but as far as I can see, we can't change it from iBanking. Maybe the CSO can override the limit for you if there's an official request from you?

seriously arh?? @@
:(

USD will not be coming down anytime soon leh. In fact this year it will just be going up. I not forex expert but I noticed HKD follows USD trend one, so I think HKD will not be dropping at all this year..

be higher. so i took his advice n went back

Is that uncle the boss? He's an awesome guy, always very humorous one. The other aunty who often works there too is another story though. Always very grumpy on the phone when I called to ask for rates. I know she's busy coz many people call them, but even face to face also grumpy. :s22:

Their rates still comparable to Arcade ones, but Arcade always can shave off a 0.01-0.05 off their rates, compared to Fountain. Not that much of a diff if you are not changing a huge sum though.

can update the rate?

anyone know whats the rate now? like arcade.

Actually can just google for the tel numbers of those money changers at Arcade and the Fountain money changer, and then call and ask (if no one updates here, that is). They will tell you over the phone one. :o

Quite a number of shops does not take in HKD1000 notes. In the end I walk into DBS at Central (DBS HQ consumer banking) this noon to change my HKD1000 notes I to HKD500 notes. I believe I can also change into HKD100 notes as the staff did asked me if I want HKD100 notes.

At Kee Wah bakery, they even have a machine to check for the authenticity of the HKD1000 notes.
