Instead of taking bus, just walk all the way when going back home. Not just saves money, gives you exercise as well. One month will save you at least $17.

Think one of the most important thing when it comes to setting aside a fix amount to save per month is not to be unrealistic. Once you find it very hard or can't hit your target, the tendency for you to stop saving all together is very likely.

I make it as a habit or practice that whenever I received my salary or income, I would first and immediately set aside and transfer the amount I wanted to save into my savings account before I pay my expenses and bills or the planned spendings for that relevant month.

Marriages means waste of money.

have a kid, waste on delivery fee, gynecologist fee,kid sickness fees, schools fees university fees.

Return on investment wise, how sure are you that you can get a return on your investment into the spouse and kid or if the kid grow up is able to support you.

However if you invest on your elderly parents there is a higher percentage due to them being pioneer generation that you will have something after the funeral procedures are done.

Single and female Singaporean above age of 30 here. Just being ultra practical.

If you don't anyhow spend and invest properly and save and don't make "friends" that make you spend just so you want to feel part of the group you can still be single and have lost of money left by the time you kick the bucket.

hi sis, i disagree with u. marriage gives u a lot more savings, because its dual income, but spending together. cook for 2 person is more economical than for 1 person.....

kids bring u a lot more happiness
but say just for fun, calculate the income.. if u bring ur kids up well... he should give u back monetary returns when he start working?
:s13:

brothers.. u cash out before? how much? i find paypal more worthwhile to get cashouts....

this one above is paypal or cheque. paypal obvious is so much more convenient but need to wait for a round figure to cash out, like $10 or $100. waiting for $100, then can have a good dinner with the wife :D:D

worth it? dont wanna do so much surveys.. sometime so tired answering questions..
but if amount is worth it, then not so bad to do during office low peak hours

not sure how many people know this - squeeze toothpaste the size of a bean can already, not like advertisements show one length of the toothbrush... in the long run can save on toothpaste expense

may be penny wise pound foolish?

I'm not sure of the science behind it but protecting your teeth with a little more toothpaste is better than going for dental treatment.
