I think for this monitor its hard to achieve the same height when placed side by side due to the stand.

Wanted to get the 670 too but has been out of stock ever since it launch. Till waiting for stocks to come in :s22: Please let me know when you can find stocks :D

Just curious .... what do you mean by hard to achieve same height?

I am only planning to get the 670 probably in June or July .... so I think by that time ... will have more stocks.

Just like about 2yrs ago .... when people are rushing in to get GTX460 ... but now ... GTX460 basically no value liao.

Any comments on this 2 LCDs? These are the only 2 I found that do not require dual-link DVI-D connection. Thanks.

Yes, if you've noticed the native res of both monitors are only 1920x1080 and not 2560x1440. That's why DVI-D is not needed. But the AS model seems better as it comes with HDMI and other multiple AV inputs like component/SVideo/RCA. And you need to pay $55 for EMS & $15 for no defect (I assume it means no DP/BP?)

I see, thanks for the advice! Honestly, I would love to get one that runs on dual-link DVI-D but the active mini-DisplayPort to dual-link DVI-D adapter for Mac is just too unstable (according to reviews) and expensive...

Yah .... Mac has designed such that you need to buy all the accessories from them. "Open concept" is not part of their strategy.

My friend was having a Mac ... he wanted to just buy a Windows notebook but end up he assembled a whole new Windows PC for his gaming.

IMHO 1920 res just looks plain weird on a 27"... i know.. been there done that. regretted immediately and sold the monitor 2 month later at a 30% loss. Got the 27Q and never looked back since... only issue is that theres reflection during the day (any way to counter this? maybe a removeable anti-glare screen?)

As for height adjustments, why dont u consider a VESA mount?

i bought those cheapo adapter from DX (3 in 1, DP HDMI DVI) to work on 2010/2011 MBP. Works flawlessly with thunderbolt port.

HDMI works with sound output
DP works with U2711
and finally, DVI works with U2711 which requires DL-DVI.

And price of the adapter? S$16. :s13:

FYI: Some of my friends who bought it way later than me has their DVI not able to work. So it's a risk, but heck its so cheap.

Wah! Don't scare me leh .... you got this message on the 18 May 2012? And until today you still have not receive your monitor yet?

Which seller did you buy from? Can post link?

I ordered 2, one of them shows :

Does "With Delivery Courier" = Person who is delivering the items? I think I might receive 1 first follow by the other. =(

They claims that it has 1yr warranty. So worst case ... ship back to seller.

If you want warranty, then either pay $849 for Dell U2711 or $1K+ for the Mac 27" display lor.
